有一天，我好不容易抓了一只蜗牛，我把它放进盒子里，便开始仔细观察它，指尖轻轻碰了蜗牛一下，它立刻把头缩进壳里，一动也不动，等外头平静后又把头悄悄的\'伸出来，你瞧，蜗牛的胆子真小，怪不得它要穿上像田螺壳的外衣，一定是为了保护自己才穿上这盔甲一般的外衣。 蜗牛住在陆地上，但跟田螺、海螺长的非常相像，它们是不是一类的小动物，不得而知了。蜗牛很喜欢爬到蔬菜和花草的叶子上去，它爬行过的地方都有鼻涕一样的东西，对蔬菜和花草得生长很不利，我想，这蜗牛应该是花园的害虫。
蜗牛有很发达的牙齿，嘴在头部的下端。当它的头伸出壳外时，头顶上还有只像牛角一样的角，我想蜗牛也许因此而叫蜗牛。 你瞧，蜗牛在盒子里休息呢！
