庄子悠然坐下：“我刚才在路上听到一阵呼救的声音，找了半天，原来是一条小鲫鱼。它被什么人扔在车轮辗出的泥糟子里，它对我说它快要渴死了，先拿点水给它活命。我想呢，一点水只能救得一时，就答应它到南方游说吴越，让他们兴修水利，造一条渠把水引到这里来，你说我这个办法如何？”。
监河侯也趣：“那样还不如到干鱼滩上找它呢。好吧，我先拿点给你。”
忘了庄子拿了没有。不过庄子在另一个地方写道，大抵富贵圣贤们的接济穷人，都象个样子。
