董存瑞的机枪，像一阵飓风，突然刮起来了。开路先锋的爆破组，就碠股火力的掩护下出动了。董存瑞挟起炸药，一挥手，就冲向前方去了。战友郑顺义和其他几个队员也冲了出去。
就要接近碉堡的.时候，敌人的火力集中在了董存瑞的身边，他趴在地上，向四周望了一下，四周被子弹打得尘土飞扬。敌人见他不动，以为他死了。就在这时，他向突击队组长郑顺义一挥手，把便领会了，投了两颗手榴弹，响声一起董存瑞便冲了上去。冲到碉堡前，敌人的机枪咯咯地响起来，他机警地伏在两个枪口的中间，机枪震动得他微微抖动。他快速地把炸药放在碉堡上，拉响了导火线，翻身滚下来。只听山崩地裂的一声响，第一个碉堡被炸飞了，紧接着，董存瑞跑到第二个碉堡，当敌人发现时，他已把炸药拉响了，战友孙有德也把第三个碉堡炸飞了，紧接着三声巨响，我军的冲锋号响起，吓得敌人逃都逃不了。
战士们越来越接近隆化中学时，敌人的冲锋枪像在风暴雨般打来。把我们压了下来，部队无法前进。仔细观察，发现机枪是从桥上打来的，桥两边有围墙，顶上还有盖顶，是一个非常坚固的碉堡。不炸掉这座碉堡，解放军无法前进，这个艰巨的任务又落在了爆破队的身上。
一个战士上去了，两个战士上去了，三个战士上去了，都因碉堡的坚固而牺牲了，董存瑞决定自己上，可连长和指导员都推托不让他去，右董存瑞非常固执，连长没办法再推托了，只好让他去，并让他小心点。
董存瑞几次把炸药放在桥上都滑了下来。想找东西支撑，可四周没有一样东西可以，经过深思之后，决定为了全中国，牺牲自己的生命也无所谓。
董存瑞托起炸药包，抵在桥上，右手拉着导火线，用心全身的力量，喊出一句口号：“同志们，为了胜利，前进啊！
一声巨响，碉堡被炸飞了。这声巨响像命令一样，让战士们一跃而起，扑向敌人。隆化中学的围墙被炸飞了。
红旗在隆化中学升了起来，残余的敌人投降了，隆化解放了。
董存瑞为了全中国，为了人民的幸福牺牲了自己的人命，是我们的骄傲，是中华民族的英雄！
