吸烟害人害己，奉劝各位在吸烟的和准备吸烟的人士，为了你认识的和不认识的人，更为了你自己，请远离烟草，社会正在飞速发展，人们的生活水平和质量在不断提高，抽烟也在不断地低龄化，从而使得有越来越多的中小学生走上吸烟的道路，据不完全统计，截止2007年中国有3.5亿的烟民，吸烟的身影更是无处不在，但吸烟对身体健康危害程度有多大呢？
吸烟有害健康，路人皆知。科学研究证明，烟草的危害主要来源于烟雾中的化学成份。烟草中含有的化学成份高达4700多种，其中主要有一氧化碳、尼古丁、焦油、苯丙比、放射性物质、刺激性化合物及砷、汞、锡、镍等多种重金属元素，它们具有很强的`刺激作用和致癌作用，对人体的危害极大，目前每年中国约有100万人因此死亡，而且这个数字还在不断地上升。我的外公就是得肺癌去世的。外公自19岁起就开始抽烟，到了晚年并常常伴着轻微的咳嗽。临死前，才检查发现是肺癌晚期，儿女们才后悔莫及，悔恨自己不该让父亲抽烟，但已无济于事。同样，二手烟的危害亦不容忽视。据专家发现，不吸烟者和吸烟者一起生活或者工作，每天闻到烟味一刻钟，时间达到一年以上的危害等同吸烟。所以吸烟害人害己，切勿尝试。
吸烟劳民伤财。目前一包成品烟在市面上低中高档次之分，低档的少说也要五六元，高档的更是上千元。烟草行在其中的利益可想而知，也正是在利益的驱使下，一大批烟草商人昧着良心贩卖烟草，同时亦在消耗着大批的金钱。我二舅舅是一个老烟民，他从17岁开始抽烟到现在48岁，平均每天抽1.8包红双喜，按现在6元一包红双喜的价格计算，即一年抽掉3942元，三十一年抽掉122202元。这十二万多的钱若在一个中小城市里足以可以买下一间房子。大家还可以想象一下，全中国3.5亿位烟民，有多少的钱都进到了别人的口袋？而这仅仅只是一些低档烟，可见吸烟者到头来人死财伤。
