the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.

那是去年发生的事了，可我至今记忆犹新。
暑假里的最后一天，爸爸、妈妈有事出去了，我一人在家，觉得很无聊。这时，我家的小花猫过来了。这是一只十分可爱的小猫：圆溜溜的眼睛，黑白相间的皮毛，长而有力的尾巴……我一边观察着它，一边想：小花猫经常洗澡，可它从来没有刷牙，牙齿一定很脏，何不给它刷一次牙呢?说干就干，我抱起小花来到卫生间。我拿来一把没用的牙刷，在上面挤了一些牙膏，就往小猫的嘴里塞。可小花猫一点也不老实，老是把头往上抬，还手舞足蹈的，我手里的泡沫涂到了小猫的眼睛上。小花猫很疼似的，一边“喵喵”直叫，一边用爪子抓眼睛。我害怕了，急忙按住它的爪子，用布轻轻地把泡沫擦掉。泡沫虽然擦掉了，可小猫的眼睛却被我弄得红红的。小猫仍旧在“喵喵”地叫，好像在说：“我疼呀!小主人，你真笨，怎么能给我刷牙呢!”
我很后悔，做事怎么能不动脑筋呢?要是把小猫的眼睛弄瞎了，它怎么抓老鼠呢?我以后不会再干这样的傻事了。

I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays this year. I liked green plants, clear rivers and lovely amimals there.I breathed the fresh air on the mountain and sometimes I went swimming in the river. I kept a diary every day.
I liked not only the scene of the countryside, but also the people there. I helped them to do farm work. I also helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. The children were interested in English. They were good at reading and writing, but did not do well in listening and speaking. I helped them improve their listening and speaking. Their parents thought highly of me. I realized that knowledge is greatly needed in the countryside.
