我的课余生活丰富多采。我喜欢下棋，因为它可以使我的思维能力得到提高；我喜欢打球，因为它可以使我的身体更加健康强壮；我喜欢阅读一些课外书籍，因为它可以使我获得许多知识，开阔视野；我喜欢养花，因为它可以使我在一段紧张的学习之后，调剂精神；我还喜欢画画，因为祖国的大好河山无限美好，通过画画，使我更加热爱自己的祖国。在这多种多样的课余生活中，使我最感兴趣、最喜欢的.还是画画。
我从三岁半就开始学画画了。我是怎样对画画产生兴趣的呢？这还得让我从头讲起：我的爸爸、妈妈都是美术工作者，他们都热爱自己的工作。有一天，妈妈在屋子里认真地画着画，我就坐在板凳上聚精会神地看着。不一会儿，妈妈画完了一部分，想休息休息，刚放下笔，就看见了我正在看她那张画，便问我：“红红，你喜欢画画吗？”我正看得入迷，听明白妈妈的问话后，马上连声回答：“喜欢，喜欢！”妈妈见我十分爱画画，就专门为我准备了绘画用具，如速写本、画板、绘画笔等等。我画画就从那时开始了，在我幼小的心灵中从此播下了爱好画画的种子。
日月如梭，转眼间，我上小学了。在学校里，我抓紧一切时间练习画画。一下课，我就画起来，同学们都说我是小画家。每天下午放学回家，我做完作业后，就抓紧时间画画，妈妈见我这样认真，就经常鼓励帮助我，我的画画水平也不断提高。
一直到升入五年级临近毕业，学习一天比一天紧张了，但是，我还坚持画画。天天晚上在紧张的学习以后，都要拿起画笔，在纸上画出一幅幅美丽的图画。一天晚上，我画了一幅题名为祖国的画。画面上有一望无际的海洋，红彤彤的太阳，一群群叽叽喳喳的小鸟和一幢幢拔地而起的楼房。我好像身临其境，享受大自然的美，憧憬祖国更美好的明天，我手捧着这张画幅，不由心潮澎湃，思绪万千……
画，虽然水平不高，但它使我懂得生活的美好。我热爱生活，热爱祖国，更热爱在这块土地上辛勤劳动的人民。我长大后，一定要像妈妈和爸爸那样，用画笔去讴歌最伟大的人民，可爱的祖国。祖国啊祖国，我无数次亲切地呼唤您，我长大了一定要把您描绘得更加美丽。

在我的“报册”里，有一篇故事被我慎重地贴在第一页，它讲的是一个双手残疾，相貌奇丑的女孩，梦想成为一个著名的歌唱家。当别人知道她的梦想后，非但没有人支持她，一些不友好的人还对她热潮冷讽，说这只不过是个梦想，一个失去双手的女孩只能是个废人，可女孩不丧气，她说：“贝多芬双耳失聪，他都能成为歌唱家，为什么别人可以做到，我就不可以？”她靠着不懈的努力和悦耳的歌声打动了一所著名的音乐学院的校长，他破例录取了她，让这个特殊的女孩走进了大学校园。几年后，她终于成为了一位著名的歌唱家。在我第一次阅读这个故事时我就明白了一个道理：只要你付出努力，不论你是怎样的人，你都能成功。
生活小窍门告诉我许多生活的捷径。通过它们，我知道了装修新房后用什么可以去除油漆味，什么样的植物放在室内，什么不能与牛奶一起喝等等。他们为我解决了很多生活中的难题。
每当我不开心时，我就会翻开我的“报册”，到一些有趣的笑话来读，然后放声一笑，不知不觉中，那些烦恼与不高心的事就被跑到九霄云外去了。小笑话，小故事看似简单，却总能在我需要时让我开怀大笑。
我感到很幸运我有这个爱好，在那一张张散发着墨香的报纸里，我剪下的是快乐，得到的是知识。
