If I were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention; I would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. I would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.
The habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. I often hear grown up people say, I could not fix my attention on the sermon or book, although I wished to do so, and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.
If I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory. I would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion. We too often borrow trouble, and anticipate that may never appear. The fear of ill exceeds the ill we fear. Dangers will arise in any career, but presence of mind will often conquer the worst of them. Be prepared for any fate, and there is no harm to be feared.

张扬个性，才赢得社会的点赞。在利益至上，人人为己的社会大潮中，“最美教师”张丽莉、“最美司机”吴斌面对生与死的考验，毅然舍己为人，不顾生命安全，救人性命。也正是这样的精神闪光点，才赢得社会的一致好评。北宋名相范仲淹，在黑暗腐朽的宫场，独自抒发“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”的慷慨之心，于百姓之力呼唤民生之举，才赢得了万代教师，荣光的名垂青史。反观那些汲汲于幌营狗苟之徒，跟随大众的步伐，结果也不过是身葬九泉，为后人鄙夷唾骂。由此观之，若没有个性的张扬，哪有后世的声声传诵？
然而，张扬个性要把握“度”的平衡。个性张扬过了头，结果也就出了格。祢衡恃才傲物，只以孔融，杨修二人为榜样，对他人不顾一屑，他三易主公，曹操，刘表，黄祖被其傲气所怒，最终，他被黄祖一剑斩***，成为后人***前饭后谈笑之资；反观张艺谋导演，为二零零八年奥运会开幕式筹备，将适度的中国个性展现，同时又融入世界文明优势精华，也正因为这样，才成就了奥运会开幕式的万众瞩目，人人自豪。
个性，就要张扬，张扬代表自信，若无自信，哪有抵御前方困难的勇气？正如浩浩大海中一艘船的帆布，若无张扬，风满虚空，哪有前行的动力？
张扬，是自信；个性，是闪光。有个性，要张扬！

大多数小孩没考好，家长都会安慰他们，不会责怪他们，还会说：“只要努力了。就行，上课讲的你能听懂，作业会做就行，我们也不会要求你太多的'！”一般这种小孩最后成绩都会很优秀，因为他们没有压力。如果换做是我没考好，他们就会说：“你怎么回事啊，你不能努力一点呀，你看看人家，人家怎么就能考好呢？他们也不是天生就会的啊，还不是自己努力的呀，你再看看你自己，学习态度不端正，整天就知道玩，我们在外面赚钱是干什么？还不是为了你呀！反正我们也不指望你了，等你长大后，该干嘛，就干嘛，我们也老了，也管不动你了！”要是我考好了，他们说的话就更难听了，比如：“这张试卷肯定很简单，或者说不定你考过了呢？”我拜托你们，动点脑经想想好不好，考过的试卷再考，可能吗？老师也不傻。还有不要老拿我跟别人比，每个人做事不一样，有自己的风格，自己的思想，为什么要，每个人一样呢？
你们总说，各科考好了就有出息，我偏不这么认为，相反我认为，只要我们每个人有自己的一样长处，不也是很好嘛！
我就要做我自己，不要恨别人一样。我不喜欢我学别人，我就要做我自己！真真实实的我！
