A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In the night all he couls see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own shout reflected back--there was nobody to hear.
You can imagine that man and his whole night of scare. Every moment there was death, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing his gripand as the sun came out he looked down and he laughed. There was no abyss. Just six inches down there was a rock. He could have rested the whole night, slept well---the rock was big enough---but the whole night was a nightmare.
Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.
There is nothing to fear.

我记得那是一个星期五的下午，为了等人，我也加入了大扫除的行列。那是一次由老师指挥的大扫除，一切都井井有条地进行着。
首先，我们要把桌椅全都搬出去，然后扫地，好在老师事先让同学把东西和垃圾带走，不然会更重，搬起来会更累，洗的时候还要拿走。由于桌子比较大，还不能用推的，所以，搬桌子时的我们就像一个个挺着大肚子的胖子，一遥一摆，显得十分笨拙和可爱。搬出去后才发现，有些桌子的上面一层的三分之一都不见了，全部都是那凹下去，那有个小洞，没一个是完好无损的，有一两张桌子里面还有颜料，桌面上也有一点，花花绿绿，五颜六色。由此可见，有些同学不爱护桌子，还搞破坏。我把毛巾浸泡在泡沫水中，把桌子擦一遍，再用水冲一遍，最后用干毛巾擦一遍，最后用干毛巾擦一遍，就完成了。看着白色的泡沫缓缓向排水口流去，就像一团团白白的雪在移动。
接着，我们就开始对椅子下手了。和桌子一样，也是先用在泡沫水中浸泡后的毛巾先擦一遍，不过，与此同时，擦墙和擦窗户也开始了，一时间，毛巾变成了“宝贝”，一有毛巾出现就引来了一群人，最终，我拿到了一条五彩缤纷的毛巾。因为这条毛巾擦过颜料，所以擦椅子之前要先洗一下。把一张椅子擦好之后放到另一边，很快，椅子就擦完了。不过冲洗倒是出了点状况，由于拖地留到最后，桌子还没办法搬进去，离我们最近的水龙头被桌子团团包围住了，我们只能用厕所的水龙头进行冲洗了。橙色的水管像一条长龙，向厕所前进。水管从手中不停地向前，手与水管的摩擦使我感到暖洋洋的，松开手一看，吓了一大跳，与水管接触的地方都变得黑乎乎的，于是，我跑到了厕所洗手。水的问题解决了，我就把椅子摆成一个长方形，就像一张床，还有同学在擦完后躺了上去呢!
大扫除渐渐接近尾声，我们开始拖地。因为桌椅都已经搬了出去，教室变得十分空旷，所以，拖地的用时比平时快了不少，再加上人多力量大，你拖那，我拖那，不一会儿，地就拖完了。最后我们把桌子搬进去排好，还是那样，一摇一摆地走进去，再轻轻松松地走出来。搬椅子倒是成了问题，我们不知道一部分椅子的主人是谁，最后，知道的放在相应的位置，不知道的只能下周让他们自己认领了。
望着教室里的桌椅，我感到满满的成就感，一股自豪感油然而生，在劳动的过程中，我感受到了前所未有的充实，我们的劳动使桌椅变得干干净净，使教室变得整洁，给同学带来了干干净净，劳动是正当的，当我们的劳动对别人有益时，我就感到了幸福。
