大家都以为他是学校请来的一个杂技团高手，但当他在台上，露出两只空荡荡的袖子时，所有的人都震惊了。原来，他六岁的时候就因高压线电击失去双臂，游泳、足球、书法却样样在行。这十四年来，他一直坚持用脚翻书写字，他还是昆明宜良县的高考文科状元，云南省前60名。他生长于昆明的一个小镇，却能说一口流利的美式英语，被称为“无臂小李阳”。而后，一个个坚强的细节便浮出水面：为了练字，他每天练3个小时，练到脚趾、脚掌都抽筋，脚上满是血泡；为了学游泳，他每天要游10公里，每次游完就瘫在地上无法动弹；为了学美式英语，他每天早上6点起床读半个小时英语，一遍一遍地听录音带，所有的课文他都能背下来。
他乐观，豁达。在那样的困境中，坚持成了他生活的全部。他说，没有了双臂，我还有双脚，生活不会来适应我，我只能一步一步地学会适应生活。
台下的学生一片欷歔。
我忍不住心潮澎湃。他这样辛苦地活着，不是为了出名，也不是为了财，只是想证明，身体虽然残缺了，但是他还可以像正常人一样生活。所以，他唯有努力。
我忽然想起我的邻居刘伟。10岁时，他因意外失去双臂。他本来是少年足球队的一名队员，事故发生后，他只能放弃足球，去练习游泳；19岁时，又因为身体原因，他放弃了游泳，去学钢琴。
他认为真正能够掌控命运的'，唯有自己，所以他一直在努力。在学钢琴时，有人打击他：“你一个残疾人，练什么钢琴？”他不气也不恼，只是轻轻地说：“谁规定弹钢琴一定要用手弹？”
后来，因为在一场选秀节目中用脚演奏钢琴曲，刘伟一举成名，他也有了一个响亮的名字：“无臂钢琴师”。我想，他的人生不可能没有低迷过、彷徨过，但他能这样一步步坚持走过来，只因为他知道，在兴趣和梦想的面前，人人都是健全的。我想，在今后的人生中，他也一定会坚定地走下去，正像他所说的那样：“我觉得我的人生中只有两条路，要么赶紧死，要么精彩地活着。我没有选择死，所以我唯有用心去演绎自己的剩余人生。”
从来就没有无缘无故的奇迹，只因为他们坚强，执着。如果想在他们身上寻找成功的秘诀，那就是，不能改变人生，就改变自己的心情。如果再加一句诠释的话，那就是，如果想把困难变小，唯有先把自己变强大！
