广州在这几年的变化的确很大，看着那一座座高楼大厦拔地而起，望着那日益发达的新科技，用着那方便快捷的交通工具，我们不应该为广州有今天这繁荣昌盛，今天这日新月异而欢呼吗？
但是在高兴之余，我们更应该着手为广州能变得更美丽，更繁荣而出谋划策，而动手创造。当然首当其冲的就是经济，一个城市没有了经济，何来繁荣？自从 1997 年亚洲金融风暴导致各地区的'经济跌至谷底，在这后 5年中，经济已暂时停止了下降的脚步。本来发展旅游业是一个城市最好的经济，可是最近由于广州发现了非典型肺炎的症状，而且已由游客传至亚洲部分国家，这使广州旅游业一下下降了许多。所以我们现在应先解决了非典型肺炎，这不但能使旅游业重上高点，还能为广州所有患有非典型肺炎的人脱离病痛。在这个同时，还必须建设好广州的景点，有些景点是很久之前流下来的，已经有些残旧，所以一定要做好文物保护工作。在一些公园或空地上可建一些具有现代青春气息的雕塑，让广州充满青春的魅力。还可以建一条世界文明街，按照国家来分类，分成7大洲，在属于每个国家的街上，建一些具有他们自己国家的特色建筑，卖一些他们自己国家特别的东西，让来自五湖四海的旅客来到广州，都有一种回家的感觉，而且来一次广州就能够游览这么多的地方，会让旅游业快速增长。这还可以增加再就业，让更多人迈向小康家庭。在发展这些的同时，还要让广州成为外资投资商投资的热点，这样不但能够获得资金，增长就业率，还可以让我们更加了解国外的产品，使我国的产品比外国的产品更加完美。这样三管齐下，一定能恢复广州原有的经济力量。
当然，如果要将广州建设得更加璀璨夺目的话，还要在文明、精神等各方面努力，才可以完全地发挥广州的潜能。
让我们继续努力，使花城广州能够成为国际大都市，使羊城广州在羊年飞腾，使穗城广州成为世界的一颗璀璨夺目的明珠，使所有人心中记住一个名字——广州！
