我最爱吃的米食是菜包，传说，客家人以米食做成饺子形菜包，藉此追怀祖先，以解相思之情，菜包因为形状像猪笼，所以又叫做猪笼粄，我觉得里面包的萝蔔丝很香又很好吃。还有另外一种绿色艾草菜包，它的外皮很有弹性，它里面包的是萝蔔干丝，也很香，艾草有解热，避邪等功效。我的'外婆常常给我吃菜包，吃到的人保证会让你觉得这是人间美味，因为她做的馅料是独一无二的，没人比得过她。
米的营养完整且均匀，是供给人体热量的最大来源，米能抑制人体脂质含量上升的效用，而且较不会有心脏血管疾病和肥胖症，因此要养成吃饭配菜的习惯。

一串串红色的核桃般大小的荔枝，就像一颗颗红玛瑙，挂在树上。又像一块块槟榔，看着我口水直流，我多想吃它呀!我小心的摸摸它，凉凉的、硬硬的、痒痒的，就像有人在挠我一样，我用手轻轻地摘下，拨开它的皮。雪白雪白的，汁水像牛奶一样流出来。荔枝的果肉是透明的。里面还有一颗黑黑的核。
甜甜的、冰冰的、爽爽的，略带一点酸酸的味道。那个美啊!一直美到我心里，几颗荔枝下肚，连呼出来的气息也变成荔枝味的了。不过，你不要贪嘴，要不然你就会上火。

姐姐上班回来了，还没进大门，我就迫不及待地跑上去问：“姐姐，姐姐，泡菜坛里为什么会冒泡泡呢？”姐姐笑眯眯地说：“泡菜坛里的菜泡得时间长了会产生一种厌氧菌，它可以在没有氧气的情况下大量繁殖，当它发酵的'时候，就会排出气体，所以泡菜坛子里会冒泡泡。”
什么？厌氧菌？我最怕细菌了，它们都是坏东西，怎么可以出现在食物里呢？我们吃了这些东西生病了可怎么办呢？姐姐的回答已满足不了我的好奇心。我拿来《百科全书》寻找答案。啊，答案在这里！原来，自然界里有一些菌（如酵母菌、厌氧菌），可引起食物发酵，产生酸，同时放出气体，它们对人类并无害处。我想：以前奶奶做好后只有拳头般大小的馒头，蒸过之后成了巴掌那么大，而且又香又甜，原来都是酵母菌的功劳啊！没想到，以前在我眼中深恶痛绝的菌类，却在我们的生活中发挥着这么重大的作用。
我正想得入神，突然泡菜坛子里又冒出了一个大泡泡。姐姐对我说：“其实，大自然中还有很多奇妙的现象，只要你留心去观察，就会发现。”看，“咕咕”叫的泡菜坛就是很好的证明。

听爸爸说，从我还在呀呀学语的时候，就带我来吃牛肉面了。那时，坐在婴儿座椅上的我，看到服务员阿姨把热腾腾的牛肉面端上来，就眉开眼笑的。
每一碗牛肉面，都是老板的精心杰作。绿油油的葱花，金黄的酸菜，和几片嫩绿的小白菜，点缀在老板用牛大骨跟中药精心熬制十几个小时的'浓郁汤头上，几片油亮亮又厚实的牛肉块摆在面中间，滑溜溜的白面在红色的汤头中若隐若现。先喝一口浓郁香醇的汤，再吃一块牛肉，嗯！老板把牛肉炖得软烂适中，筋还带着嚼劲，越嚼越有味，让我差点连舌头都要吞下去了。面条呢！也不让牛肉专美于前，吃起来Q弹有劲，滑溜顺口，再加上吸收了牛肉汤的菁华，让人忍不住一口接一口，真让人回味无穷啊！
每次妈妈带我去量身高时，都笑瞇瞇地夸我：又长高啦！这里面有牛肉面的功劳喔！我满脸疑惑的问：为什么啊？妈妈回答我：因为牛肉含有丰富的营养成份，如铁、锌、钙，等等帮助人体成长发育和滋补健体的元素，多吃牛肉，自然长得又高又壮啊！哦！这样啊！我恍然大悟，这么好吃又营养的食物，怎能让我不爱呢！
