目前，中国塑料年产量为300万吨，消费量在600万吨以上。全世界塑料年产量为1亿吨，如果按每年15%的塑料废弃量计算，全世界年塑料废弃量就是1500万吨，中国的年塑料废弃量在100万吨以上，废弃塑料在垃圾中的比例占到40%。人们把塑料给环境带来的灾难称为“白色污染”。联合国教科代组织有个形象的比喻，说如果把人们每年使用的塑料袋覆盖在地球表面，足以使地球穿上好几件“白色外衣”。
我们的地球似乎已经变成了“塑料星球”，土地、河流、高山、海洋……塑料袋无所不在。直到有一天，我们都已离去，这些家伙仍然占据着地球，因为它们是“永生”的。
一时间，“远离塑料袋”、“拒用塑料袋”、“禁用塑料袋”的呼声一浪高过一浪。事实上，要在短时间内完全禁止使用塑料袋是不现实的。积极的态度是依靠科技进步，即采用回收利用和降解相结合的办法去解决。工业包装膜、商品包装袋（膜）用后较干净，应作为主要回收利用对象，分类收集再生利用，这在国内外都已有许多成功。而对于那些量大、分散、脏乱、难于收集或再生利用经济效益甚微的一次性塑料包装袋，则应该使用可降解塑料生产。
然而环保意识不是一夜之间就能树立的，一方面，塑料袋像臭豆腐一样闻起来“臭”，吃起来“香”，因为它的确有它的.便利之处；另一方面，许多消费者认为，塑料袋是免费赠送的，不花钱的东西不用白不用。针对这种情况，198x年7月起，美国近半数的州实施了塑料袋“禁用法”，禁止所有不能分解和还原处理的食品塑料包装袋上市。印度马哈拉施特拉邦禁用厚度不到20微米的塑料袋，并控制生产这种塑料袋的原料。从1998年11月起，在该邦乱扔、乱用、乱发塑料袋者，最高可被判5年监禁，并处10年卢比的罚款。意大利则实行“塑料袋课税法”，根据这项法律，每生产一只塑料袋要交8美分税，商店每卖一个价值50里拉的塑料袋，要交100里拉税。自去年3月起，爱尔兰政府也开始征收塑料袋税，每个塑料袋9便士。
这些法律的推行，起到了很好的效果。以爱尔兰为例，自从征收塑料袋税之后，全国塑料袋的使用量降低了90%。与此同时，各国都加强了对可降解塑料包装材料的研制，并加大了开发塑料回收利用技术的力度。舒施尼那项“最糟糕的发明”将以一种全新的形式继续为人类造福。

“仲永生五年，未尝识书具，忽啼求之……既书诗四句，并自为其名……”这是我在假期里学习的一篇文章，是唐代诗人王安石的文章。
他讲述了一个天才神童的故事。一个孩子叫方仲永，世代以种田为业。仲永五岁时，还不认得笔墨纸砚，一天忽然哭闹着索要这些东西。他父亲很奇怪，就向近邻借来给他。方仲永马上写下了四句诗，并且写上自己的名字。那诗表达了孝养父母，团结宗族的意思，诗被乡里一位读书人拿去阅读。从此以后，旁人只要指定某一物作诗题，方仲永就能挥笔立就。诗的文字技巧及意境都达到一定水平。乡里人对他非常器重，并渐渐对他的父亲也礼待起来，有的施舍钱财给他。方仲永父亲觉得这是件有利可图的事，就每天携带仲永向乡里人到处乞讨，不让他进校学习。
十二年后，作者跟他的父亲回到家乡，曾于舅家见到方仲永，仲永已经十二三岁了。他们叫仲永作诗，已经与他们过去所听闻的水准不能相比了。又过了七年，作者从扬州回来，再到舅家去，问起方仲永，人们告诉说：“他已经和普通人没有什么两样了。”
王安石说，方仲永的聪明颖悟，是上天赋予的。他有天赋，比起努力学习而成就的人要优越得多；然而最终还是和平常人差不多，那是因为没有受到常人所受的教育的结果。他的天资是那样的好，只因为没有受到教育培养，尚且沦为普通人一样；现在一般说来天分不高的人自然是很多的，如果再不加以教育培养，恐怕会连一个平常人都不如吧？所以王安石说；“仲永已泯然众人已。”
我觉得一个人是否是天才神童，都要认真学习，不能因为自己明白了一些道理，而骄傲自满，而荒废学业，不思进取。古人云：书山有路勤为径，学海无涯苦作舟。我们因当效仿古人，踏踏实实，不断学习。
