我有一个朋友，我叫她“逸”，上六年级了，和我一样。她的成绩在班级里是上游的，平时在家里似乎一点压力都没有，回来就玩，饭后开始写作业，之后又看看书，写写日记，日子过得十分滋润，但成绩又不会掉下来。

今天，我去找逸玩，她家里还有一个同学。这个人我也认识，她在他们班里是处于中游的学生，常来找逸，有时候我们还会凑在一起写作业什么的。

逸的父母在菜市场租地工作，卖蛋，有时候也买福利彩票，收入还行，足够一家人的日常开销，房子就是逸爷爷的了，五人一起住在一个房子里。

逸的那个朋友来的时候，她母亲一般都不在家，所以印象也不是太深。中午她父母回来休息，在这段时间里，我们就一起玩。下午，她父母又去工作了，逸那个朋友只和她父亲打了招呼而没和她母亲打，她母亲似乎有些不悦，但也没说什么。

傍晚了，逸的那个朋友回家了，而我由于家离的近，干脆就逗留在她家里玩，这时候，她母亲打来电话了。我和逸很熟了，接电话时她并没有避开我，开了免提，而我就在一旁不说话。

“喂？”逸母亲的声音传来。接下来，又是些琐事，无非就是要整理整理房间，打扫一下卫生或是不要老玩电脑手机什么的。逸也只是敷衍地“嗯”了一声又一声，接下来，聊到了成绩。“这次期末考你觉得有信心吗？”“呃……这个嘛，我觉得可能不会太好。”逸的回答很谦虚，我知道她的能力的，每次回来说没考好其实就是不想太张扬而已。“对自己有点信心行不行？”“可我又不是副班长那样的人，我没办法次次都考好啊。”这不说还不要紧，一说她母亲马上就生气了。他们班副班长的父母和逸的父母都在市场工作，他们副班长的父母和她父母经常聊天，可对方的\'父母老拿孩子的成绩压逸的父母，以至于他们总是念叨逸。“你就那么没用啊！别人厉害你就比不过他啊，怎么那么笨啊！”我的天啊，这下子逸的脾气就要爆发了啊。我的预言很准，逸也生气了：“成绩成绩，老拿这玩意压着我干嘛，有意思吗？说比副班长厉害你又说我自傲，说没副班长厉害你又说我没用，你要我怎么样？”这下子来那个人的怒火都燃了起来，又是一场大战。“你看看你现在都变成什么样了，还敢跟我顶嘴，你很厉害是不是？都是那群狐朋狗友害的吧。”狐朋狗友？你了解她们吗？凭什么说她们？

我和逸都很生气，自己的朋友被自己母亲在背后骂，任谁都不会开心吧。

我们都很清楚，所谓狐朋狗友就是刚才逸的那个朋友，她的成绩不太好，这个逸的母亲曾问过我们。

“你又有什么资格说别人呢？还有成绩的事，不是自己没信心，是信心都被你挫没了，怎么都不合你心，怎么做都会挨骂，你自己不爽就拿别人撒气。呵……”这是逸的原话，说的也是啊，凭什么？你又有什么资格呢。你厉害，那你现在又怎么会变成这样呢？

是谁给了你如此傲慢的权利？你根本就没有资格啊！别人怎样是别人的事，自己做不好也要去说别人。

你！不！配！

A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In the night all he couls see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own shout reflected back--there was nobody to hear.

You can imagine that man and his whole night of scare. Every moment there was death, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing his gripand as the sun came out he looked down and he laughed. There was no abyss. Just six inches down there was a rock. He could have rested the whole night, slept well---the rock was big enough---but the whole night was a nightmare.

Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.

There is nothing to fear.
