不仅企业要重视需求，政府及公共组织中的工作人员也要时刻把握公众的需求。为人民服务是我国政府和机关单位的重要宗旨，因此，就要做到想群众之所想，急群众之所急，时刻把握人民群众的切身需要。只有这样，政府工作人员的价值才能得到体现出来。在我国，很多政府工作人员不仅仅是这样想的，也是这样做的。原小岗村支部书记沈浩，深入基层搞调研，了解群众的切身需要，终于成为了受人民尊敬的好官。焦裕禄，孔繁森，任长霞，这样的例子不胜枚举。
