First and the most important is that thank you for bringing me to this world. During the 20 years, you have done a lot for me, but I haven’t realized how much I love you until I left home to the university. I understand how much effort you have cost to bring me up. Now, I have grown up, I can look after you.
Second, I want to thank you that you give me a good environment to grow up. There is an old saying “Parents are the first teacher to their children”. In my life, you are the typical ones. Because of your good examples I formed the good habit of learning at an early age which benefits my life.
At last, I want to say “thank you” is that you always support my choice. You never forced me to do anything I was not interested in. You told me to pursuit my own dreams without hesitation and you would support me forever. You also told me to how to be a human. Now I become an optimistic and cheerful girl and I feel happy every day.
I really miss you when I am writing this thank you letter. I can’t wait to go home to share more time together with you.You are my most important people in the world and I will love you forever.

It’s a long time no contacting with you since last e-mail. And I miss you so much. Recently I luckily turn to the third officer working on board MV Blue Whale,which is a container ship. I intend to introduce you what Ido on this big vessel in this letter.
I am the third officer working in the deck department. As you know, the third officer is responsible to the master for the proper performance of his assigned bridge watchstanding and navigational duties.
On board, my first daily work is wathckeeping from 8 to 12 and from 20 to 24. my second daily work is in charge of the maintance of the fire-fighting equipment and life-saving equipment. The third , I am also responsible for fire and boat drills, I have to design a muster list and make crew to know the best escape route clearly. Additionally, there are also some simple things I have to do in daily work. For example, I have to assist the Chief Officer in supervising cargo handling operation 、to measure the draft at the discretion of the Chief Officer or the Master、to assist the Master on the bridge with anchoring and mooring and unmooring operation is underway and so on.
In the end, I strongly believed that you must be very familiar with my special work through what I said. And I hope you can stand my back and make me stronger. We will have a reunion soon.

每天我放学回家，都把书包往桌子一扔，把书倒出来，弄得桌子乱糟糟的。可上个星期三回来，我却想把桌子整理一下。
事情的起因是这样的，这一天，我们上了第十七课《可贵的沉默》，吴老师布置了一个家庭作业；为爸爸妈妈做一件事。回家的路上，我在想：如果我做应该由我来做的事，就不是为爸爸妈妈做了，当着他们的面做事情又不会让他们感到十分惊讶，那该怎么办？忽然我灵机一动：把桌子收拾好，不就是一件很好的事吗？
说干就干，我一回到家，就开始整理小床了，为了保密，我还把门给关上了。
整理小床的第一步是把一些“永久居民”整理好。这些“永久居民”是图片、资料及奖状、手工。我先将层层叠叠的图片放入一个档案袋中；再把奖状、手工统一放入一个档案袋；然后把散落在各地的资料集中在一起，将它们弄整齐；最后将它们按照从大到小，从厚到薄放在桌子床角，“永久居民”就整理完成了。
整理小床的第二步是将“移民”：课本、你真棒、玩具、报纸整理一下。我先驱逐玩具，将魔方等放到客厅；再将陈旧的报纸赶往“回收站”，新报纸按从大到小放在小床床角，“永入居民”对面；然后将你真棒入盒，课本就乱扔在床上。
整理小床的第三步，开始全面性动工。小床的“旅行者”――书籍，大多数被放入书柜，少数几本在看的就将它们从大到小放在小床床头。书包里的书拿出来后按从大到小放在小床中央，上面放上铅笔盒，将书包放在枕头上。乱扔在床上的课本、学具袋、陶笛、健子、练习本则由从大到小的顺序叠在一起，放在小床的边上。其它物品则放在这些物品的上面。
我发现小床整理小床的第四步，开始扫尾工作。这是因为位子太挤了，只剩下芝麻大的地方。为了节约空间，同时使小床容量更大，这可让我犯了难：如果堆在一起，不仅分类不明，而且容易倒，紧挨在一起呢，难以找到一样物品。我左思右想，终于想出了一个两全其美的办法：将一大类放在一起，小分类挨紧点。于是，我将图片、资料分成一大类，驻扎在小床四角。将手工、奖状这些不会经常用到的东西分成一大类，驻扎在小床西侧。将课本、练习本这些常用物品放在小床床头。书籍则放在东角。其它物品在西北侧。
妈妈回来看到了，惊讶地说道：“今天的小床竞然放得这么整齐！”我心里美滋滋的！

One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

今天是父亲节，看着爸爸还没下班回来，我决定在父亲节为父亲做一件事，做什么呢?想来想去，我想到了炒两个菜。
说干就干，我先把白菜洗干净，然后开火把油倒进锅里，油一热就听见 噼里啪啦 的声音，并溅出许多油。我把洗好的菜倒入锅中，只听 滋 的一声响，我右手拿着锅铲，，左手捏住柄，赶快将菜翻过来又翻过去的炒菜不是还发出 沙沙 的响声。有时我怕油溅到我手上就快速翻两下后离锅远一点。我手忙脚乱的把盐放成味精，把味精放成盐。当我正要把盛在盘子里的时候才发现放错了。可把我急坏了，没办法，只好把炒白菜做成白菜汤了。
第二道菜我要炒番茄炒鸡蛋。我照常把菜洗好，把锅放在灶上， 啪 的一声我打开了煤气灶，我这一次吸取了上次的教训，先把油倒进去，当锅头冒烟时，说明又热了，可以把菜倒进去了。因此，我把搅好的鸡蛋汁倒入锅中，鸡蛋进到进去后马上泡了起来，我拿勺从右往做翻再从左往右翻，等鸡蛋炒出香味时，把切好的番茄倒入翻炒几下就好了关上火，撒上盐再翻动一下装上盘就可以了。
晚上，爸爸看到我炒的两个菜，问我今天是什么日子，我跟爸爸说，今天是父亲节，我想在父亲节为父亲做一件事，就想到这个了，爸爸听到后非常的开心，夸我是个好孩子。
