Finally,thanks to your firm discipline, not cmly have I cultivateda discerning taste in art, but I’ve also built my own set of moral values. “妈妈，星期天中午，我要去参加同学的生日聚会，我可以向英语补习班的老师请假吗？”我试探着提出请求。
妈妈转过头，难以置信地看着我：“你要把补习班推掉？”她一拍桌子，显得有些生气，“这是不可能的！不去学习，还想着去玩？”……
同学邀请我参加他的生日聚会，这已经是第三次参加别人的生日了，在这件事上，妈妈已经警告了我好几次——“再这样下去，哪还有时间学习啊！”但他是我比较要好的朋友，就不假思索地答应了。
回到家里，跟妈妈说时，却遭到了强烈的反对。
那一刻，我觉得妈妈似乎有些不可理喻，不过是一节课，两个多小时而已，又不会落下太多的知识、课程，而且还会有补课。一节课，才几十块钱，就能让妈妈摆起一副严肃的面容，教育我不要浪费钱：快去上课，不要请假。很是吝啬。
难道真的不能参加同学的'生日聚会了吗？那种状况显然不是我想看到的。那就不能放弃一切可以去的机会。
但过后几天，我虽然在妈妈面前无数次提过要求，但只有小部分使妈妈的态度稍稍改变。在星期五晚上完成所有的作业，才能去参加。这是妈妈提的要求。
星期五，我努力地想要完成作业。可还是剩下了几道题。

星期天，接近中午。我来到指定地点，我豁出去了，不顾一切了。忐忑不安地，我缓缓地走进餐厅大门。
与同学疯玩了一整个下午，马上就要回店里了，又是一阵不安。多么希望，那一声“哦”是一个默许，好让我不会挨骂。
回到店里，听到的是妈妈的一句话：“你爸在等你，快去。”就这样上了车。迎接我的，很可能是爸爸的一场大骂。
我以为，妈妈的表现，只是暴风雨来临之前的平静，但整整过了一天，都没听到爸爸的怒喝。
那天，翻看妈妈的信息，才发现，妈妈与补习班老师的对话：珈鸣他星期天有事，就不去上课了。
