这本书主要写的是冬日的翠湖公园景象肃***，而两只狗的出现更使这里充满了阴谋和***机，和牧羊犬亲密无间的腊肠狗，一定要置牧羊犬为死地。因为以前腊肠狗在家里非常受宠，自从牧羊犬来到这个家，腊肠狗就成为了牧羊犬的保姆，牧羊犬也很听腊肠狗的话，牧羊犬渐渐长大，比腊肠狗更加受到主人的爱戴，腊肠狗就仗着牧羊犬对自己的信任，一直想把牧羊犬害死，但是却自食其果。
其实这个故事，应该说是真的，因为杨红樱的确养过牧羊犬和腊肠狗。只因牧羊犬比腊肠狗更受宠，腊肠狗就一直想方设法害牧羊犬，最后腊肠狗却……这本书告诉我们，做人不要有嫉妒心！
