到了比赛的时间，我鼓起勇气，大胆地走上台去，演讲的内容是《丰碑》，我都背得滚瓜烂熟了。看到台下黑压压的一片人头，我的心跳又加快了，像要跳出来似的。我想起了钟雪霞告诉我的.话——“不要紧张”，紧张的心又平静了下来，我勇敢地看着大家，有感情地朗读完了整篇稿子，没有打绊子，说到军需处长被冻僵时，我心里很难受，有点想掉眼泪，我很敬佩他，我忘了自己是在比赛。
在大家暴风雨一样的掌声中，我回到了班上，心仍然在剧烈地跳着，我用手按着它，怕它会跳出来，因为我太激动了。我很感谢钟雪霞对我的鼓励，是她教我做什么事都要对自己充满信心。有了那一次演讲比赛的经历，现在无论遇到什么比赛，我都不会紧张了，因为我对自己充满了信心!
