第二段：正反列举人们的看法。So far as the present situation is concerned, is it a good or bad thing to … …? Different people have different opinions. On one hand, some people argued that it is a good thing for … … in that … …. On the other hand, some people hold a negative view about this phenomenon. In their opinion, … … will have negative effect on … … because it will not only do harm to … … but also to … ….
第三段：摆明自己观点。In my opinion, … … is not a good thing. … … With the increasing … …, it will ruin … ….
其次，提纯范文“段落写作”。
段落写作分为统一性，连贯性和完整性三方面。
统一性(unity：段落开头的主题句应该做到不可太宽泛，也不可太具体，做到有较强的概括性才能使下文做到有的放矢的展开。范文第二段首句以设问的方式提出一个问题is it a good or bad thing就有很强的概况性。下文自然会一方面从好的方面说明，另一方面从坏的方面说明。
连贯性(coherence：关联词是使文章段落之间相互连贯的必要条件。范文中nowadays, on one hand, on the other hand, in one’s opinion即以“启承转合”递进的顺序是文章条理清晰，层层展开。
完整性(completeness：以设问句“So far as the present situation is concerned, is it a good or bad thing to open the university campus for tourists?”开头，这是平时较少运用的段落写作方式——设问法。“On one hand … …. On the other hand, … ….”是段落写作分类列举法的典型用法。
再次，提纯范文“句子写作”。
1. It has been shown that … …
类似句型：It is known to us that … …
It is said that … …
It is reported that … …
It is controversial that … …
2. “… … Tsing Hua University and Peking University and other famous universities … …。”——并列句。并列句是简单的复杂句。但其运用方法并不简单，注意练习并接句的使用，会使句子显的更加饱满。
3. enable v. 使…能够

其一便是新。

轻学术也是学术。既是学术，就必然推陈出新，以新为贵。自冯特创立现代心理学学科以后，心理学的发展速度可谓相当惊人，尤其当各种仪器如磁共振出现后，更是大步向前。
与早期经典心理学强调理论的建构相比，现代心理学早已进入了“实证优先”的时期，纯粹的逻辑推演、经验总结早就难以在现代心理学研究中立足了。虽然早期心理学，如行为主义流派，也做实验，但碍于样本有限、自因变量不够精确，其实验结果的可靠性远比不上今日的精密仪器。因此，许多经典理论也都在各种实证下得到不断的修缮。
《人类的自我发现之旅》这本书，中文首版时间是20xx年1月，不夸张地说，书本还带着热乎乎的墨香。我翻阅书中的参考文献，最近的文献日期是20xx年，这就保证了读者在阅读时，能够跟上相对前沿的学术成果，而不是一味沉湎在过去的理论中。
比如市面上可见的阿德勒的《自卑与超越》，这是一本写于1932年的书，它的一些观点难免受制于作者的个人主张和学科的时代局限，作为了解现代心理学的入门书籍，它其实并不能算最好的选择。但作为了解人本主义心理学的读物，却不失为一部好作品。
其二是主题。

我上学时，系里的老师推荐我们两本心理学读物：一是津巴多的《心理学与生活》；二是霍克的《改变心理学进程的40项研究》。两本书都反复再版，大名鼎鼎。
单拿我手上的人民邮电出版社的第十六版《心理学与生活》来说，厚厚一本，甚是威风，足足有120多万字，可谓皇皇巨著。然而，我却一直认为此书的正确阅读方式是当做参考书——即像辞典那样看。原因在于，这本书的内容实在太过绵密庞杂。
后来我发现，不仅我，连我的同学和老师，也没听说谁从头至尾精读了这本书，都是拿来当做参考，即遇到某个主题，先将此书翻出来，查阅个大概脉络，再精细地钻研。所以，我也一直不是很赞同说这本书适合纯粹的爱好者阅读。
《人类的自我发现之旅》全书26万字，而且一直围绕着一个主题，较有针对性。这个主题不是别的，大约可以概括为两个——意识和认知——这也符合书名。
为什么要刻意强调这个主题呢？因为当今心理学界，认知绝对是重中之重。
念书时，我的导师就曾很确切地告诉我，认知问题是未来心理学最重要的主题，几乎没有之一。原因是许多心理学问题归根结底，最后都可以从认知的角度得到解释。事实上，现代心理学已经出现与认知神经科学相合流的趋势。
可以说，作者基思·奥特利（身份太多，不加赘述）绝不是抱着写一本畅销书赚钱的心态而作，他明确地向读者传递着这一大方向的重要性。
其三是不猎奇。

现在市面上许多所谓的心理学入门书籍，往往是迎合读者的猎奇心理，冠以一些惊人耳目的题目，诸如“速成读心术”、“一本书读懂心理学”、“微表情”、“色彩人格”、“变态心理学”等等。这样的书，固然好卖，其实，往往未必那么学术。
比如微表情的相关书籍。首先，心理学界的确有人研究微表情及其含义，但大多在西方心理学发展较完善的国家，许多理论是不能直接照搬到东亚人身上的。
其原因就在于不同人种间的面目表情是有一定差异的，东方人的面目表情相对更平淡，西方人大约更夸张，这一点，从语言上也能看出来。网上就曾有外国人发现，说汉语时嘴部动作偏小，说英语时嘴部动作偏大，这些差异都有可能影响理论的适用性。
这也不是我的妄言。尤其是早期心理学的一些量表、问卷的制定过程，往往都以白人被试为主，它的适用性可能由于文化背景、语言习惯、思维方式产生差异。因此，才有许多心理学者致力于不断改善旧有的问卷，使其普遍性和适用性增强。
而且，现代心理学已经在相当程度证明了语言的确可以相当程度地影响个体思维和认知。
这本书不媚俗、不迎合猎奇心理，也是我喜爱的原因之一。
综上，若对现代心理学有些兴趣，并向了解关于认知和意识的相关问题的.同好，不妨看看此书。
然而，读前大约也需要点准备，简言之——这并不是一部可以一口气便读完的书，作者的一些例证、脉络的梳理和人物介绍，都很下一番功夫；一蹴而就式的阅读，也许会错失精彩。不过，这实属正常；若想切实了解任何一门学科，总是需要沉下心来的。
