People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 在孩子的成长的过程当中少不了会有一些不如意的事发生，作为妈妈的肯定会教育孩子，甚至会动用武力。这种事也同样发生在我的身上。
记得在我小时候，妈妈从来不会因为我考得不好而‘出手’，尽管妈妈怎样掩藏，但我总怕捕捉到妈妈那一丝失落的眼神，所以有几次遇到发挥失常我就想把考卷偷偷藏起来，又暗暗下定决心：“我下次一定不会是这样！”每当妈妈问起我最近考试的卷子在哪，我脸红着说：“还……还没发呢。”

平时妈妈上班那么忙，已经很劳累了，但她却没有时间多休息，还要为我的事操心。有一次考试卷发下来了，我才考了70多分。妈妈沉默良久宣布了一个重大的决定，妈妈要在家陪读我两个月。妈妈平时工作非常认真，是个典型的“工作狂”，因为我学习下降妈妈竟然抛开工作帮助我提高成绩，我被妈妈感动了！这两个月我们一起努力，把所有科目都过了一遍，从前迷糊不明白的题一道一道来，天天晚上不学到12。点不罢休，单元考试成绩像上台阶似的。两个后我激动的跑回家，我拿了双百！副科成绩也没有一个下90分。考试后开家长会，老师公开表扬我学习成绩突飞猛涨，会后班主任问妈妈，有什么秘诀能让我成绩上涨这么快？妈妈笑了，其实哪有什么秘诀，只是用心了而已。妈妈经常在我失败时告诉我：失败是成功之母，多用心多动脑，其实你一点都不笨，相反还很聪明，还告诉我团结同学，帮助同学，尊敬老师。因为妈妈的教诲，所以我现在做事非常认真，使我在学校拥有了许多好的“哥们”，也成了老师喜欢的学生。现在我在慢慢长大，逐渐懂得了很多事情，明白了很多道理。每次跟妈妈说起我帮助了谁。妈妈都是微笑着点头。我知道她在用博大的爱把我培养成人。
