黄叶在秋风中回旋，跳着一支支优美的舞蹈，我知道那是大树对大地滋养的感恩。每当此时，我总会被这小小的生命感动着。一直以来，我感谢无私的老师给予我的耐心教导，我感谢伙伴们给予我的真挚友情……但我更感谢的还是我的母亲。
不久前，我读了篇名叫《在感恩中成长》的文章，深深被文中的故事打动着。文中讲述了一位母亲，含辛茹苦地抚养着四个子女。为了让孩子能够进入城市读书，背着父亲，把自己唯一的金戒指卖了。当四个孩子工作后，一起给母亲买了一只金戒指。可是由于常年的务农和操劳，母亲的手关节早已经粗大、变形，大号的戒指也戴不上去。在孩子们内疚的哭声中，母亲却留下了幸福的泪……读了文章后，我被文中那深沉、无私的母爱，震撼着。同时也被文中四个子女的孝心，感动着。是啊，羊有跪乳之恩，鸦有反哺之义。更何况是我们?“萱草生堂阶，游子行天涯；慈母依堂前，不见萱草花。”“慈母手中线，游子身上衣……谁言寸草心，报得三春晖。”这是孟郊用诗句表达自己对伟大母亲的感恩之心。有人说，母爱像缕阳光让你即使在寒冷的严冬，也能感受到温暖；有人说，母爱像一股溪流，滋润孩子幼小的心田。我说母爱像一把大伞，能遮风挡雨，驱除烈日炎炎。呵护孩子健康成长。
我记得六岁那年暑假的那场雷雨:那天下午，妈妈骑车载我回家。突然，电闪雷鸣，瓢泼大雨顷刻间从天而降。路上行人稀少，天气昏暗，我打着伞坐在后面，又冷又怕吓得哭了起来。妈妈连忙停车安慰我，当她看到雨水已打湿了我的小腿，二话没说，脱下自己的雨衣给我穿上……穿着有着妈妈体温的雨衣，听着妈妈温柔的安慰，我觉得不再怕了。可是没一会儿，妈妈的衣服便湿透了，我穿着妈妈的雨衣，打着伞看着雨水在妈妈的后背“成了小河”，我的眼睛湿湿的，鼻子酸酸的……从那以后，我总在书包里为妈妈准备一把伞。我总是准备着，为妈妈也撑起一伞晴空。
曾看到这样一句话:爱是一种责任，感恩却是一种智慧，一个懂得感恩的人，才是生活中的智者。因为感恩，这个世界绚丽多彩；因为感恩，我们收获真挚的友情；因为感恩让我们懂得了生命的真谛。

After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."
The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.
After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."
