the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.

I am going to do my homework every day so that I can finish my homework on time.I am going to the library to borrow some books and go to the shops to buy some books so that I can read some interesting books. 凡卡第二天醒来时已是正午了，他用自己肮脏的手揉了揉迷糊的眼睛。不好，我怎么睡得这么迟，老板娘怎么没有叫醒我。凡卡只看见厨房里有一张纸条，忙跑过去一看，想看看是不是爷爷的回信，原来不是。上面写着“小子，把我的碗涮好，要不然，就让你吃比条炒肉丝！”凡卡看不是爷爷的回信，失望透顶。
日子一天一天过去了，幻想中的爷爷还没有来，凡卡绝望了，可是这里的生活简直不是人的生活。忽然有一天，“吭吭”他突然咳了起来，一阵刺鼻的浓烟飘进了他的鼻子，他感觉到身边一阵阵炽热，他醒了。上帝啊！竟着火了！原来是老板走时忘记熄灭卧室里的火炉，火炉烤着了旁边的柜子，柜子点燃整个房屋，凶恶的火舌直扑向凡卡，凡卡撒腿向外窜去。屋外马房里水槽里的水桶，被凡卡随手抄起，奋力将水泼向火中，边泼边大声叫：“救命啊！帮帮忙！着火了！”热心的街坊邻居们纷纷跑来帮忙。
那个小崽子还在屋里！”凡卡突然惊叫了起来，这可是一条活生生的人命啊！他有着跑进去救人的冲动，可是他想起了老板夫妇对自己惨无人道的虐待，他犹豫了，看着熊熊燃烧的大火他完全可以丢下那个孩子不管，可是那个小崽子是无辜的呀，他不愿意见死不救。凡卡冲进了火海，正好回来的老板夫妇和伙计们看到了这一幕，老板夫妇惊呆了！不行，我不能眼睁睁的看着凡卡死去，老板冲了进去，看见了在火海中挣扎的凡卡，正冒着生命危险去救孩子，心中不免泛起了涟漪。顿时，悔恨和感动一齐涌上心头。小崽子出来了，没有生命危险，可凡卡却看不惯这样的情节，偷偷溜走了。
凡卡流浪了几天之后，终于看到了熟悉的大街，看到了亲爱的爷爷和泥鳅。凡卡尖叫着，哭泣着，兴奋着，和爷爷回了那清贫的家。
