案件发生后，东野通过主人公和刑警的分析，一步一步进行推理，同时也一步一步地误导这读者。由于我自己习惯于边看书边自己进行推理，所以，对于主人公和刑警提出的嫌疑犯人选，我并没有落入圈套。然而，东野除了如此明显地误导读者之外，还在更深层次对我进行了误导，应当认为，这种误导是有意的，这从几个地方可以看出来：
1、每当主人公听说刑警获得新的线索时，总是迫不及待地进行追查，并且表现得非常紧张，这让我感到十分可疑；
2、主人公几次遭遇袭击、他与第二名死者互相交换了化妆的内容，这些都没有第三人可以证明，完全是他自己一个人的说辞，真实性令人怀疑；
3、刑警怀疑的犯罪嫌疑人，都是根据主人公的推断来锁定的，这让人感到主人公似乎在操纵案件的侦破进程；
4、每次刑警对证人进行侦讯过后，主人公都会主动询问侦讯内容，在他与惠子的对话中，对话内容都是围绕问题和答案进行，听起来很像是两名和作者之间的对话。除此之外，根据案情来看，主人公如果与惠子合作***人，完全有充分的作案时间。
至于动机，东野也通过其妻子的反常表现给出了暗示——于是，我得出了一个错误的结论，那就是，凶手就是主人公和惠子，犯罪动机就是，主人公怀疑自己的妻子与死者有染。但是，如果是这样，为什么是两名死者呢？这里不能不提到一个锁抽屉的细节：主人公因为遭遇袭击，一直有给抽屉上锁的习惯，然而，当第一名死者被害之后，主人公的警惕性放松了，认为完全没必要给抽屉上锁；第二名死者死后，主人公又再次紧张起来，还是决定继续给抽屉上锁——这当然可以理解为主人公对袭击的恐惧，但是由于我已经被误导，所以我想当然地认为，主人公第一次解除给抽屉上锁，是因为他认为自己需要谋害的对象已经被***害了，因此心理上松弛了下来。
而第二次上锁又是为了什么呢？这里必须提到在给抽屉重新上锁之前的一个细节：刑警大谷曾经用一块白色的手帕擦手，而主人公对这块白色手帕产生了特殊的感觉，紧接着这个情节之后，就是主人公重新给抽屉上锁……根据以上推断，我得出了所谓的案件真相：主人公因为妻子红杏出墙，并且在校园内遭遇袭击，从而怀疑第一名死者与其妻子有染，遂与一直对自己有好感的惠子进行合作，进行了第一次谋***，并且放松了警惕，连抽屉也不再上锁；第一次谋***之后，他发现妻子的神态没有改变，说明与妻子有染的另有其人，于是进行了第二次谋***——这次谋***惠子也应当参与，这从第二次谋***前惠子特殊的神情可以猜测到几分；但是，就在第二次谋***之后，主人公偶然发现大谷刑警用来擦手的手帕竟然是妻子之物，于是明白与妻子有染的其实是大谷，自己的敌人并未消除，于是他再度紧张起来，重新将抽屉上所。
在整个侦破过程中，为了误导侦查方向，主人公总是在不同时期提出不同的嫌疑人。至于关于密室的问题，既然主人公是与惠子同时发现的密室谋***，并且他们又是同谋，那么完全可以认为，所谓的密室一开始就不存在，雅美关于更换锁头的推断，只不过是为了提供不在场证明的一个障眼法。
由于做出了那样的结论，在接下来的过程中，我一直在等待着大谷刑警被谋***——意外的是，这种情形并没有出现。当高阳原子证明了密室更换锁头一事的确是障眼法，并且将此事告诉了主人公时，我为她感到非常担心——因为她的目击更加证实了我的推断，而在这种情况下，作为“凶手”的主人公一定会将她***害以灭口——然而，意外又发生了，主人公虽然隐瞒了她的口供，却并没有***害她。这让我感到迷惑不解。
而真相也很快浮出了水面，当主人公在射箭场发现了那支箭的事情时，他头脑里轰然一响，我的头脑里轰然一响，至此，我才明白事情的真相：作案的人中的确包括惠子，但是与惠子合作并不是主人公，而是另一名学生——这从他们在案发当时的表现可以看出来。案件就这样被侦破了。
不能不佩服东野圭吾，他在最后才揭示真相，但是却毫不显突兀，一切都合情合理，动机也令人感叹，日本学生那种特殊的心态展露无遗，让人在叹息的同时也差生深思。
而关于其妻子的伏笔，也在最后得到了解释：主人公遭遇的袭击并非谎言，这一切都是其妻子与第三者之间的合谋，而主人公在最后终于遭遇了终极伏击，全文就此落下帷幕，留下一个惊心动魄的感叹号。
《放学后》全文采用的密室和不在现场证明都非常巧妙。在密室环节，用来构筑密室的木棒实际上只是伪装，真正构成密室的是箭；而不在现场证明这个环节，关于锁头交换的说法非常有说服力，并且这种说法并不是凶手直接揭露的，而是通过辗转再辗转，几乎让人毫不怀疑地揭示出来，这点很令人欣赏。
总的来说，《放学后》是一部逻辑严密、文笔细腻的小说，并且具有一定的社会意义，值得细心品味。

学校的题材确实吸引人，东野的成名作总体上讲还是不错的，在侦办此案的过程中，我们跟着主人公和大谷警官研判分析了所有人，学生，老师，校长，妻子，学生的朋友，似乎每个人都嫌疑，但是每个人又都差那么点意思。整个分析的过程很精彩，也因此显得最后的破案，感觉并不是豁然开朗，却是有一些突兀。
比较可怜男主人公，本就是一个平常容易受点欺负的老好人，却被生活逼成了一个侦探员......最后还被绿了。
主人公的妻子应该是很纠结的，平日里总听主人公说学校有人要***他，本想着借刀***人坐收渔翁之利。等了又等发现学校的***手不行，总***错人，还是自己来吧。

还剩二百多页的时候，一口气看到最后，有点心累，有点奔溃，有点不知所措，甚至还有点恶心。
凶手是惠美和惠子，尽管凶手结局没有交代，案件中的谜团一步步揭开，也够让人释怀的了。其实，在看这本书之前，无意中看到评论里有说凶手是谁，所以在看的的过程中，一直沉迷于作案动机和手法，甚至自己也苦苦寻找密室***人的各种方法，但结局总是那么的出乎意外。
我感慨，作者描述凶手的***人动机，让人觉得不可思议，但对于一个把死都看的无所谓的叛逆期青少年，***人有何畏？只不过是求一个内心的安稳。就好比一个人身上的缺点，拿放大镜去看自然是越放越大。惠美放大了自己的缺点，放大了别人眼中的她，造成自己内心的`扭曲，造成两个老师的死，从而去寻得一个心安理得。
作者用第一人称视角来展现整个故事，各种伏笔，各种猜测，铺垫也很多，觉得文中出现的每一个人都有他的作用，不可小觑。让人崩溃的三个转折点，第一是知道凶手作案手法，第二是了解凶手的作案动机，第三就是“我”的妻子也要***我，虽然是最后一章，看的也是热火朝天，引人深思。

故事地点发生在一所中学，人物是以一个失意的高中老师为核心，情节则围绕这个核心人物所遇到的死亡威胁而展开。
我读这部作品的时候心态很平和，没有急躁地去寻找答案。这可能是因为校园的环境相对恬静，不似光怪陆离的大社会浮华喧嚣。因而也带动着我静静地随着主人公上学下学。
作品的开头阶段主要叙述了主人公感到自己被死亡所威胁，只是每一次都幸运的躲过了暗中的冷箭。
但是防不胜防。果然，***人了，出事了，忙活了。主人公的几个同事接二连三地死去。是仇***？是替罪羊？
即使再完美的谋***也会留有痕迹或线索。能不能发现这些痕迹，能不能将这些线索穿针引线，排列***，则是破案的关键。更何况是小说呢。
接着，这些线索和痕迹也渐渐地浮出水面，看似简单平静的学校其实也是暗流汹涌，指向着着每一个微妙的事件和沉重的灵魂。到底是谁呢？
终于来到了华丽闪亮的时刻。原来如此。
从结局来看，似乎这部作品不仅仅是单纯的解谜，也包含着心理因素。任何犯罪都要寻求作案者的犯罪动机。而如何将这些动机不露痕迹地润物无声般的植入情节中去，是我一直所困惑的事情。这也是一个高明的作家之所以高超的所在。
我在想，一个高明的作家是否会看似浪费的添置无关情节和人物。和新浪潮电影相比，正好相反，他不是告诉你这是电影而非现实，而是提醒你这就是真实而非小说。因为越来越聪明的读者都会刻意注意看似无关紧要的人物，所以是否反其道而行之，来一个假作假时假亦假。也许这也是东野圭吾出道时的作品，恐怕现在早已臻入虚实两忘的境界了吧。
