我拉着妹妹向树林子跑去，我来到了小时候常玩的一个地方，这儿长了一种藤状的植物，它的叶子到了秋天就会掉光，只剩下干枯的叶子和已裂开了嘴的果实，这种果实的果外皮像一个坚固的口袋，里头塞满了像蒲公英一样的种子，只要你对着那个果实裂开的小口子一吹，种子便像小伞一样四处乱飞，比蒲公英还好玩，因为她是缠着树生长的，而且秋冬季节，它的干枯的果实挂在数上十分像麻雀子一样在树上嬉戏，我一直叫它“秋冬的小鸟”。我和妹妹采了几个果实放在口袋里，又向河岸跑去。
河边长着大片大片的芦苇。冬天，万树沉睡，独有芦苇挺着它干枯的躯体与寒冷作斗争，芦苇的'花儿已经枯了，大概今年是个暖冬吧，有些小鸟十分留恋靖江的景色，便留下来过冬，那些不知名的小鸟犹如春天一般热闹，它们在干枯的芦苇花上唱着歌儿，跳来跳去，仿佛在欢呼春天早点到来，想不到万物沉睡的大地竟有如此生机的一面！我和妹妹采了一大把芦苇花，抓在手中，让风儿吹着芦苇花和“秋冬的小鸟”让风儿把它们的种子带到黑黝黝的泥土里生根发芽。
我和妹妹唱着歌儿向长江边进军，半路上，妹妹忽然叫住了我，我回过头来，妹妹正低着头，采着一种红色的果实，我先是一楞，然后惊喜地叫道：“是枸杞子儿！”我像见到了宝贝似的，把野生的枸杞直往口袋里塞，那些枸杞真是大，一颗颗犹如红宝石，丰满红润得就像要裂开似的，我采到口袋里塞不下，这才离开了。
江边到了，我和妹妹攀着石块到了江的最边缘，夕阳西下，把滚滚东流的江水照得金光闪闪，船在大江上鸣叫着，多么熟悉的一切啊！此时晶莹的汗水已经从我头上淌下，我和妹妹便说起了作文，妹妹不是很会写作文，但我觉得她今天说得太美了：“夕阳把余辉洒在波光鳞鳞的江面上，像无数条金鱼在跳跃，我向天上望去，天上的云是金的，我向芦苇丛望去，芦苇花是金的，我忽然发现姐姐、自己也是金的。我沐浴着夕阳的余辉，望着东流的江水，思绪万千，我想到了过去，但更多地是对未来的憧憬，此刻我觉得，人生是多么、多么的美丽辉煌！”
