在我上五年级时，一天早上，我昏昏沉沉的来到了学校，心情本来就不好，来到了班里，拿好了学习用具等待着上课。
老师严肃地走进了教室，看着老师手里拿着的试卷，不用猜也知道了。没等老师发卷，我们就不满了起来。不满当然是没用的，只好硬着头皮上“战场”了。发了考卷，令我出乎意料的是考试题实在太简单，根本不像想象中的那么恐怖。我根本没当回事，很是“轻敌”的做了起来。
“对付”这种卷子，不到二十分钟我就写完了。交卷前一直都在想：这次一定能考出优异的成绩，取得妈妈的夸奖。一副胸有成竹的样子交了卷，还没发卷的时候就已经沾沾自喜了。
当我看到发来得试卷时，就不禁高兴了起来，考了九十七分的成绩，自以为已经很高了，就高高兴兴的回了家。当我告诉妈妈成绩时，妈妈只是微微一笑，示意我还是要继续努力。我回到了自己屋里，思索着：难道我做的还不够好么?我生气地想着，渐渐地，我明白了妈妈的微笑和说的话的含义。原来妈妈是想让我加倍努力，更上一层楼，争取做的更好，虚心的取得更大的进步，如果骄傲反而会不进则退了。
到了现在，妈妈的微笑时常激励着我，也在困难来临时常常浮现在眼前，时常的让我努力着，时刻提醒我把每件事情做的更好!
