可就在我过九岁生日时的上午，爸爸、妈妈像变魔术般变出了一辆崭新的紫色自行车当我的生日礼物。我开心地跳得老高，此时不觉的爸爸妈妈不再是小气鬼了。

我立马把自行车小心翼翼地搬到楼下，爸爸、妈妈也跟下了楼。我想在爸爸、妈妈面前耍把威风。于是就像楼下那些正在骑自行车的.大哥哥大姐姐一样一屁股坐上了车座，双手把住车龙头，一只脚放在了踏板上，另一只脚用力一蹬。原本，我以为会和想象的一样，车子会顺其自然地跑起来。可是情况情况恰恰相反，我另一只脚还没踏上踩踏板时，就摔了个四脚朝天。我把自行车刚刚扶起来，可自行车就像醉汉一样，直接往我身上倒，结果我摔了个狗吃屎。我好不容易爬起来，刚走一步又通的一声摔在了地上，原来我给车龙头绊了一跤。

爸爸、妈妈见我这副惨样，笑了起来，而我却哇哇大哭起来。爸爸笑够了，对我说：我的小宝贝、小寿星，自行车的平衡是在龙头，只要掌握了平衡，克服内心的恐惧，你就会越骑越好。说着，就扶起了自行车。可我一跺脚，说：我不学了，刚上来就摔了个三连跤。妈妈皱了一下眉头，语重心长地对我说：宝贝，做事可不能半途而废哟，只要你努力就能学会的，加油！这次有了爸爸、妈妈的鼓励下，我不断地调整自已身体，努力保持平衡，把精力集中在车龙头，可是我只注意脚下，没注意前面，车又撞在了墙上。可我没有泄气，继续骑自行车。

开始我晃晃悠悠骑了一两米，没想到自行车被石子给绊了，我一分神，摔进了身边的草坪，我还是没有放弃。在爸爸的不断指导下，我渐渐地学会前进、拐弯、急转弯。经过几天的不断练习，我也能像大人一样，随心所欲地骑自行车了。

骑自行车真有趣，虽然很难又会摔跤，但我从中知道只要有恒心，铁棒磨成绣花针的道理。
