笔盒和书包坐在一旁一言不发。文具们看后奇怪的问：“笔盒、书包你们有什么特长啊？”笔盒害羞地说：“我只会帮助主人把学习用具收集到一起，其它的我什么也不会，和你们比差远了。”书包听后也不好意思地说：“是啊，我也只能帮主人收集东西，没有其它用处。”其它文具听后不好意思的地低下了头。
从此，文具们再也不骄傲自大、自吹自擂了，他们和睦相处，一起为主人效劳。

一天，文具盒里的小朋友吵架了。
铅笔洋洋自得地说：“主人的好文章都是我写出来的，主人的好帮手就是我啊！”
橡皮鼻子一抽，不屑地接道：“你是主人的好帮手？要是写错了字，是谁来订正？还不是用到我橡皮嘛！我才是主人的好帮手呢！”
话还没等说完，就引来一阵哄笑，顶不服气的是转笔刀，只见它骄傲地说：“你们别得意，你那铅笔头秃了，是谁给你转出尖的？没有我，铅笔还有出头之日吗？”
说时迟，那时快。愤怒的橡皮扭动着身子，一边擦着文字，一边唱着歌，“我擦、我擦、我擦擦擦……”
尖利的铅笔见自己的心血要付诸东流，便沙沙地唱，“我写、我写、我写写写……”突然铅笔没尖了，便命令转笔刀：“给我削尖！”
转笔刀撇撇嘴，高唱着：“我不、我不、我不不不……”
主人回来了，看着一片狼藉，语重心长地说：“别吵、别吵、别吵吵。你们都是我的好帮手！”
