提起《西游记》大家都不陌生，西游记是我国四大古典名著之一，讲述了唐僧、孙悟空、猪八戒、沙悟净师徒四人历经九九八十一难去西天拜佛取经的故事。
故事中唐僧心地善良，悟空机智勇敢，八戒好吃懒做，悟净忠厚老实，他们虽然各有性格，但给我印象最深的当然是齐天大圣——美猴王孙悟空，他腾云驾雾，来无影去无踪，本领高强，让我非常羡慕，要是自己有这样的本领就好了。
可是我最有疑问的也是孙悟空，他龙宫取宝、大闹天宫，本领那么高，可为什么还被压在五行山下，为什么他不变小出来呢？他的“筋斗云”十万八千里，竟然跳不出如来佛的“手掌心”，后来还被红孩儿的“三昧真火”烧的“急火攻心”，差点被烧死，最可气的是，每次遇到大妖怪，都要上天请各路神仙来帮忙……
带着疑问我问爸爸这是为什么，爸爸却问我，你知道孙悟空都哪些本领吗，我脱口而出，筋斗云、七十二变，火眼金睛，还有长生不老术，爸爸让我再细细看看原著，我拿出原著，认真阅读了一遍。
原来美猴王在西牛贺州灵台方寸山斜月三星洞拜菩提祖师学艺时，祖师一开始要教他“道”字三百六十傍门，美猴王不学，又要教他“流”、“静”、“动”等字中门之道，他还是不学，这些知识涉及到天文、地理、日月、星辰、医药、占卜、急救、农作种植等方方面面，可是悟空统统不学！只学了筋斗云、七十二变化。可这些只是在武力上比别人抢，不能处处比人强。爸爸说，那些他没有学的本领都是后来解决问题的钥匙，如果当初悟空学了，后来他遇到那么多难题就能自己解决了！这只能怪他自己！
我听了觉得很有道理，自己平时一定要多积累些知识和本领，不能向美猴王一样“书到用时方恨少”呀！

after having a swim, we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees. then we went for a walk. we didn't come back home until the night fell.
