星期六下午，妈妈笑着我说：“我送你一件东西”。我一看，原来就是我梦寐以求的自行车，我高兴极了。心想：我终于可以像其他的小朋友一样来回上学骑自行车了。
开始学自行车了，我小心翼翼地做到车子上，可刚做上去，我就摔了个四脚朝天。这次我接受了教训，首先把车子扶稳，遛了一段距离，然后我骑了上去，车子开始摇摇晃晃的向前行走。我内心狂喜，我会骑自行车了。可没过几秒钟，就感觉车子变的不停使唤，左右摇摆起来，没法控制，差点撞到墙上。我又试着骑了好几次，都失败了，心想：学车这么难，我不学了。
就在我想放弃的时候，妈妈突然给我说：“做什么事情都要有恒心，要坚持下去，‘滴水穿石’你不是读过吗？小小的水滴都能把石头滴穿，何况只是学个车子呢？”听了妈妈的话，我恍然大悟，这次按照妈妈给我说的骑车要领，我一次次的练习起来，尽管又摔倒了好多次，但是功夫不负有心人，我终于学会骑自行车了。
学会了骑自行车，既让我感到骄傲自豪，同时我也明白了一个道理：无论做什么事情都能半途而废，要持之以恒、坚持不懈的做下去，只有这样才能成功。

一年一度的国庆节又将到来，每当看到鲜艳的五星红旗，我就激动不已，耳边总会想起《今天是你的生日，我的祖国》，《中华共和国国歌》、《红旗飘飘》等歌曲。
在繁华的今日我们仍不能忘记那些曾为祖国的振兴和昌盛抛头颅洒热血的爱国志士。
著名数学家华罗庚早年在美国很受学界器重，有人想和他签订合同留在美国工作，并给他优厚待遇。但他得知新中国成立的消息后，立即决定回国，途径香港时发表了一封给留美学生的公开信，满腔热血地呼换：“为了国家、民族我们因当回去！”
邓稼先，这个光辉的名字和他“两弹之父”的美名，直至他生命的最后时刻，才为人们所知。1950年26岁的邓稼先在美国获得了物理学硕士学位毅然回国。邓稼先沉浸在青春的快乐中和家庭的幸福之中。谁知，国际风云急剧变化，20世纪60年代，祖国面临核大国的'威胁。他接受了开创祖国核事业的任务。他离别妻儿，隐姓埋名，在戈壁滩度过了28个春秋，终于带着成功的喜悦而归，可无情的脑癌细胞已侵入他的肌体眼看生命快要燃烧到尽头，他却坦然无比，对妻子说的最后一句是“我死而无憾！”
