伴随着一声声的鞭炮声，工厂开张了。在而后的几年里，制造出大量的化学物品，大批的汽车。然而，也出现了一些化学工业中所不用的废气，以及汽车排放出来的汽车尾气，造成了大气污染，并且随着那些工厂老总的口袋越来越鼓，空气被污染的程度也越来越严重。当然，在那些化学工业中所不能用的废气会和空气中的某些物质发生反应，又产生一些好的、新的、可以利用的气体，但大多数的气比之前的废气还要严重的二次污染。比如说，酸雨，这个素来被人们称为“空中死神”的东西是由二氧化硫与空气中的某个物质反应而形成的。
