对于“过生日，请同学吃饭好不好”这一话题，我觉既有好处也有坏处，毕竟凡事都有正面和反面，不能两全其美嘛！我先说好处，过生日会，请同学吃饭，的确是增加朋友之间互相交往的好方式，能使同学之间关系融恰，促进交流，让同学之间成为亲密无间的好伙伴，让同学们在学习之余尽情地“疯狂”一回，更添情趣。但是，过生日请同学吃饭也有不少坏处：比如，开了生日会，有些受邀的同学为了参加生日会而耽误了做作业的时间，要不就是马虎了事，结果生日会参加了，作业也做不好。还有，有些同学为了开生日会而铺张浪费，结果大大增加了父母的经济负担，不是吗？而且，有些同学去别人家参加生日会，胡乱地浪费食物，又搞得别人家里乱乱的，多不好呀！
之前，我看过一份报道，说某市一个13岁的小学生生日，请了几个同学去吃饭，结果为了不让那几个同学小看他，便在一家豪华的大酒店开了一个生日会，而他大手大脚地用钱，铺张浪费地搞这个生日会，却结出了一张万元帐单，成了他的父母的经济负担。你们看，还不正是搞生日会铺张浪费造成的后果吗？我们身为一名小学生，应该具有勤俭节约的美德。况且，我们用的`，是父母辛辛苦苦赚来的血汗钱呀！我们的先辈曾告诫过我们：“治国之道，节用为先。灭国之祸，起于奢靡”。
同学们，生日是要过的，不过不一定要铺张浪费地举办生日会，或者换一种方式，也许会过得更有意义。愿勤俭节约的、闪光的美德永远照耀在你我心上！
