因为有了书，我们才不会没有理想；因为有了书，我们就不会迷失方向。自从我上小学开始，我的老师们都对我说：“读书，读书，再读书。”小时候的我，只是知道按照老师的要求做完就行了，每个晚上会十分有规律地看2个小时的书。直到升入初中后才发现书原来这么重要。每当我难过、感到无助时，我总会拿一本书来读，从中吸取它的精华，不知为什么，我总会在书中找到快乐，他好像是我的知己，是我形影不离的好朋友，我烦燥的心情也会渐渐地平静下来，失败时的痛苦也会烟消云散。我就像是一个永远不会满足的贪婪的小孩在书海中尽情地翱翔和他没日没夜地交谈、嬉戏。就这样，我一眨眼就13岁了，书已经完全融入了我的生活。换句话讲，离开书的我就像是离开了水的鱼儿。岳飞曾经说过：“读书好，好读书，读好书”。可见，书是多么地重要。不管是《鲁滨逊漂流记》还是《简爱》，我都会为主人公的命运所激动、所悲伤。

People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like.
