你知道最大、最小的恒星分别是哪一个吗？最亮、最古老、质量最大的恒星又是哪些呢？
宇宙已经近138亿岁了，它孕育了无数颗恒星，这其中有一颗几乎和宇宙同寿的恒星，大约存在了137亿年，它就是“2MASSJ180820002—5104378”。它的`体积很小，是恒星中的红矮星，这意味着，它的生命有上万亿年！此时，它还是自己生命的婴儿时期呢！所以它是人类已知的最古老恒星。
而人类所发现最亮的恒星让人感到不可思议，它的亮度大约是太阳的870万倍！但因为离我们太远，所以你根本看不到它。它的名字是“R136a1”，是一个蓝超巨星。它好似一个大火球，正冒着耀眼的蓝色光芒。如果它代替太阳成为地球的恒星，那地球上就不会有生物了。如果它的光芒照到人类身上，那哪个人不瞎，就只能是超人了。同时，它也是质量最大的恒星，质量大约是太阳的240倍。
宇宙还“打造”出了一颗红特超巨星，它的外表是红的。可能我这么说你不明白，但换句话说，你应该就明白了，它还是最大的恒星。没错，它就是著名的“盾牌座UY”，直径足足有23。7亿千米，因此，它的内部大约可以容纳45万个太阳或2亿亿个地球。如果我们以光速前进，仍需要9个小时才能绕其一圈。但是，它的质量只有太阳的10倍左右，因为它已经是一颗“老年星”了。
最大的恒星你了解了，可最小的你知道吗？它就是“2MASSJ05233822—1403022”，距地球约40光年，直径只有木星的84%，约为120540千米。因为它太小了，所以人类也难以获取到它的更多信息。
在宇宙中有无数颗恒星，最大、最小、最亮、质量最大、最古老的恒星也只是暂时的。在科技发达的明天，我们说不定能在宇宙的某一个角落，发现更大、更小、更亮、质量更大、更古老的恒星，推翻目前的“恒星之最”！
