记得在我上二年级的时候，发生过这样一件事。
那天中午，我正在房间里抱着爸爸给我新买的那本《十万个为什么》，翻来覆去地看个不停。妈妈正在厨房里为了做菜忙得火热朝天。
忽然，听到妈妈喊一句：“儿子啊，没有味精了！你帮我到公园门口的小超市买一包味精回来好不？”我在看书，正看的起劲，想也没想就脱口而出：“好。妈妈塞了20元钱到我手里。我还沉浸在书里，一手拿住书，另一手拿住钱，穿好鞋子就边看书边走到了小卖部门口。”
我照妈妈的话，用极高的童音对着小卖部里面的阿姨说：“阿姨，要一条围巾。”
里面的那位阿姨很是奇怪：“现在大热天的买什么围巾啊？”
我说：“我也不知道，我妈妈要我买的。”
那位阿姨就拿了一条便宜的17元的围巾给我，找回我3元钱后，我看着书回到了家里。
刚进家门，妈妈就高兴地欢呼：“噢，味精来了，味精来了。”
我说：“妈啊，你大热天的买围巾干什么？”
妈妈说：“做菜要用啊！做菜不给味精味道就差很多！”
我心里暗暗默念：以后如果我会做菜了，一定每次都要给一条围巾。就把那条围巾递给了妈妈。
妈妈拿到围巾，顿时傻了眼：“我要你买的味精，你买围巾回来干什么？”
我大惑不解：“就是你要我买围巾回来的啊！”
这时我忽然想起妈妈吩咐我的时候我的脑袋里全是书，当然会听错。便说：“。不好意思。我看书太认真。听错了。”脸涨得通红。
妈妈开心地笑了，把我搂进怀里。
这件事再回想起来，还能让我开怀大笑。

坚持赋予水滴洞穿岩石的力量；坚持给予柔软草绳磨断实木的坚韧；坚持付与细嫩小草冲破岩石的勇气……跑步，使我明白了坚持的可贵。
一开学，时间更紧了，好不容易抽出时间锻炼身体，我便选择了普通再普通的跑步。
最开始我可是信心满满，不就是跑步嘛！有什么难的！斗志昂扬的我抬脚狂奔在操场的塑胶跑道上，清润湿凉的风拂过脸颊，舒服极了。跑的太嚣张是有代价的，不一会，我的体力就严重的透支，呼吸开始粗重起来，冷风灌入喉中，带着尖锐的痛楚，仿佛吞下万根银针；肺腑更是火烧火燎，如同铺上了一层红碳；双腿更是酸疼无比，好像血管里流的不是血，而是酸柠檬汁混着水银调成的不明物质。
几乎是下意识的，我停下来，太累了，我揉着发胀的脸，火一样的温度让我明白，它一定如火一般的鲜艳。可不能只跑一圈就打道回府啊，太难看了！我咬了下牙床，心里给自己打气。努力！当初自己定的目标是五圈啊！再次迈开双腿，这次我学乖了，脚步慢慢的、稳稳的，匀速地跑以求节省体力。或许真是许久不运动的后遗症吧，仅仅两圈过后，就又是筋疲力竭。我继续咬着牙支撑着，眼前也模糊起来，间或夹着几颗金星在闪烁。终于，又磨过去了一圈。衣服吸了汗紧贴在身上，湿乎乎冷嗖嗖的，难受极了；头发也捂在脸上，再也飘不起了；胸口里的小心脏感觉就要爆了，只能迫使我大口大口地在冷风中索取氧气，但却依旧感到窒息。
意识模模糊糊间，听到一个声音大声地喊，加油啊，就剩一圈了，要放弃真是太可惜了！另一个声音也在幽幽地说，算了，真的跑不动了，歇歇吧。最后一丝的理智让我索性低下头，向着即将到来的终点，拼尽最后的力气奔跑。速度的加快意味着体力的流逝更加迅速，双腿靠着本能终于冲到了终点，五圈终于跑完了。我跌跌撞撞地扶跑道边的栏杆干呕着，那种感觉如濒死般难受，但一股浓浓的自傲感也在心中荡漾。我跑完了不是吗？我没被—不是吗？我成功地坚持了下来不是吗？肉体的疼痛换来了灵魂的升华，这很值得，更何况，流了这么多的汗，锻炼了身体也可以减肥啊！
跑步，使我明白了坚持，坚持使水滴石穿、坚持使绳锯木断、坚持也是嫩草破石……人生，唯有坚持，才能成长；唯有坚持，才会成功。
