孩子想过一个怎样的假期?孩子们的想法是什么呢?没有人知道，父母也没有想到要了解一下孩子的想法，假期是孩子的，而孩子的.想法都没有人去注意，没有人去聆听，重要的是：没有人想知道孩子对自己的假期有什么想法!我们的文化中，认为儿童是没有什么想法的，儿童需要成年人全权安排。
为什么我们不去聆听孩子对假期的想法呢?因为我们不相信孩子会“安排好”假期!在我们的头脑里，我们认为安排得好的假期一定是让孩子学习知识，而且时间要安排得满满，不能够让孩子有空闲和无聊的时间，我们认为这样的安排对孩子最有利。
而我认为，放假意味着这个假期属于孩子。当孩子还不能够具备完全安排整个假期的能力时，我们要和孩子一起来安排他们的假期。那么，我们是不是应该先用心听一下孩子对自己假期的想法呢?然后，用我们的感觉来感觉一下孩子内心需要的是什么——他奋斗了一个学期，他现在感觉累吗?他对自己的学业满意吗?他有幸福感吗?他的情绪是怎样的?他需要我们为他做些什么?……假期是我们停下匆忙的脚步，休整我们心灵的时间，孩子也是一样的!
我们的孩子被安排得太多，在家被父母全权安排，在学校被老师全权安排，孩子们只有完全服从，接受这样的安排才能够让日子顺利的过下去，这无可厚非。那么假期呢?假期对孩子究竟意味着什么?孩子们有权利发呆、有权利做自己想做的事情、有权利让自己不接受成人的全部安排，这是孩子发展自我的强烈需要，这样的需求要在什么时候来满足一下孩子呢?我们的孩子已经丧失了太多的权利，假期老师都不被安排上课，而孩子却既要完成老师的作业，还要被父母安排学习更多的课业，这不公平啊。假期对每个人来说都应该是自由的，尤其是儿童。在我们的文化中，儿童的权利意味着可以被不尊重，可以被忽视。
