在我家的窗台旁便有一棵大树，树上就粘着几只蝉。每当太阳刚升起时，这几只蝉就好似定时的闹钟，“知了，知了”地叫个不停，把仍在睡梦中的我给吵醒了，让我不得不仇恨这些小东西。
一天中午，我顶着烈日来到那棵树下，准备进行“复仇”计划。我看见一只蝉趴在树干上正在吮吸着树汁，我蹑手蹑脚地走过去，飞快地抓住了它，然后把它扔进了准备好了的瓶子里。
总算是安静了许多，可是没过两天，那“知了”声又传进了我的耳朵里，看来捉蝉只是治标不治本啊！我打开电脑，开始在网上查有关蝉的资料。每年七月，雌蝉将卵排入地里，蝉卵要经过很长时间才会孵出来，即使孵化出的蝉在地下也需要经过五次蜕变……看到这里，我心中有说不出的感觉，但是，接下来的内容让我大吃一惊，蝉在地下竟要等待十多年，最长等十七年，才会出土飞上树，可是每当秋风一吹，蝉就结束了自己的一生，回归黄土了。

我们大家在学英语的同时。好像忘记了我们的母语。我们这中华民族五千年的悠久历史，老祖宗传下来的文化，魅力好像还抵不过一个“洋鬼子”说的“鬼话”是的，英语的确是国际通用语言。可是这就是我们要冷落我们伟大的母语的'原因吗？这原因是在不值一提。中文，是世界上能最清楚表达事物的语言，只改变语调，就能变换语义。中国的语言文字叫“汉字”，而英美的语言文字叫“单词”。
这就明显能体现出汉语的意思准确、精练。我本人是回族，但我并不讨厌“汉”语、“汉”话。相反，我却十分崇敬华夏文化，因为我是中国人。
但看现在世态，我们好像不该在打着中华民族的旗子，说我们是龙的传人了。外语肆意横行，把我们老祖宗留给我们的东西，推进了印度洋深处，实在可怕。我最后竭力大喊一句：“我们是中国人！！！”
