儿子就读的小学是一所区属小学，一级六个教学班，共两千余名学生。虽然，该校在市内算不上一流的名校，但在铁东城区也是首屈一指的。在小学六年中，儿子有四次期末考试成绩位居年级前十名，考得差时，也在年级前三十名左右。按理说，儿子有这样不错的成绩，我们作家长的在他小升初时应该是不用发愁的。可问题是，现在的初中原则上划片招生，所以令人烦恼的问题也就跟着来了。
其实，在我家小区对面就有一所初中（W中），该校为市里重点扶植的学校，硬件一流，环境优美，教学质量正蒸蒸日上。本来，我贪图路近，打算送儿子到W中就读的。可几个关系不错的同事和朋友听说后，都不止一次地劝我，说孩子上学的'事儿是大事，让我一定要慎重考虑。慎重考虑之后，我只有“忍痛”把W中否了。可否掉W中容易，找到一所教学水平很高、又愿意接收儿子的学校却有些困难。
经过权衡利弊，我决定让儿子上S中。S中是一所老牌名校，这几年中招成绩特别突出，是一所名副其实的优质初中。可问题是，该校不在我家所在的学区，我怎么才能把儿子送进去呢？一想到这儿，我犯了愁。
后经人引见，我拜会了S中的Z副校长。Z副校长很是热情，说都是自己人，孩子的成绩也不错，他能帮忙肯定会帮。只是，现在市里的招生文件还没下来，具体政策还不清楚，他也不能保证什么，希望我能理解并耐心地等待。
这一等待就是两个多月，在这两个多月里，我每一天都在焦躁和不安中度过。
六月初的一个下午，Z副校长打来电话，让我傍晚带儿子到他们学校一趟。放下电话，我欣喜若狂，心想儿子上学的事儿终于有眉目了。晚上六点五十分左右，我带着儿子到达S中门口，再次给Z副校长拨通电话后门卫才放我们进入校园。在Z副校长办公室门口，我看到另外几个来面试的学生，一问才知他们也来自儿子所在的小学。看来，这个时间段儿来面试的都是儿子他们学校的学生。
儿子进去后，我下意识地也欲跟着进去，被Z副校长拦住了。他说家长在外面等一小会儿。不知为什么，站在门外，我心里竟十分紧张，紧张得手心都出汗了。我唯恐儿子面试不理想，与S中失之交臂。五分钟后（这五分钟可真漫长呀），儿子走了出来，Z副校长把我喊了进去，他说孩子的成绩不错，面试表现也可以，准备在第一批录取孩子。闻听此言，我久悬的一颗心才缓缓放下了。
以后的事情就简单了，七月初报名，八月中旬分班考试……儿子终于进入了S中。
如今，儿子已经成为S中的一名七年级学生。我希望，在未来的三年里，儿子能努力学习，为我们争光，也为S中添彩。

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

It was the first day of our summer holiday.All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have two months to do things we love to do.We are free.Although we have some homework.But we can finish them in several days.And the rest time we can make good use of.My god! We have been very tired after hard studying.In summer holidays,I want to have full sleep and eat good food in order to replenish myself. Last but not the least,I will have a good rest.

I went to the beach and I swam in the sea.I called my friend and played with them.I visitde my grandparents and ate much delicious food.But in August,there is a first tyhoon.With terrifying fear and my mother bought some food.I was very unhappy,because I could not played out side.
Then I went to the zoo whit my sister.I was very happy.Because I saw a lot of animals.They were very lovable.So I took photos of all animals.I loved the butterful the best.They were colourful and beautiful.My sister liked it too.
In summer holiday,I went to the places where the sun shines brightly.I went to where the see is blue too.All students had a happy summer holiday.
