这幅画使我深思:青年找不到水,是因为他不肯在一个地方持之以恒地挖下去,结果白费了气力。它告诉我们一个哲理:要想找到成功之源,除了肯花力气外,还要目标专一,持之以恒,坚持不懈,浅尝辄止者是不会成功的。
我国清代学者王国维曾总结了学习的三个境界。其一为志存高远,“昨夜西风凋碧树,独上高楼,望断天涯路”;其二为持之以恒,“衣带渐宽终不悔,为伊消得人憔悴”;其三为成功境界,“蓦然回首,那人却在灯火阑珊处”。古代思想家荀况也说过:“锲而舍之,朽木不折;锲而不舍,金石可镂。”这些话都说明了目标专一和持之以恒是成功的必由之路。
许多成功的例子证明了这确是一条必由之路。大科学家欧立希立志制出一种药剂,经过长期不懈的努力,在失败了几百次之后,终于制出了药剂六六六。我国数学家陈景润在少年时就立志摘下数学王国的宝石――哥德巴赫猜想。他勤奋钻研,算纸用了几麻袋,艰难困苦,玉汝于成,终于获得了重大成果。这样的例子真是俯拾皆是,不胜枚举。
反之,学习或工作上的浅尝辄止,永远不会带来成功,只能浪费时间,白花气力,到头来“空悲切”一场。记得有个相声曾讽刺这种人,他们这山望着那山高,今天想当画家,明天想当音乐家,后天又想当军事家,最后只能当呆在家里空发议论的“坐家”。
那找水的青年,只要他回到原地继续挖完那些未完成的井,或者到新地方后持之以恒地挖下去,他一定能找到水源。而在学习上、工作中,不管你是否犯过浅尝辄止的错误,只要你现在安下心来,认定一个正确的目标,专一而不懈地努力,你就一定会获得成功。科学路上无捷径,专一不懈见成功。
