严格说来,《忠犬八公》不算个故事片,甚至不能说这样的讲述算个故事。情节十分简单,最离谱的是,好不容易领略了久违的李察吉尔,丫却“嘎嘣”死了。
记得有句梁家辉的台词:“我是个普通的男人,仅仅有史泰龙的肌肉、李察吉尔的相貌而已”,这句话叫一个懵懂的男青年不无嫉妒的开始留心李察吉尔这个名字,在随后看到的《风月俏佳人》里,也似乎并不觉得他有多帅,在之后漫长的岁月里,即使偶尔在hbo中瞄到他的角色,也并无在意。对于我这样的伪小资来说,知道他曾经是偶像派,就已足够。
十余年后,《忠犬八公》里再见李察吉尔,一个印象:老。也许是马齿渐长,竟窃有兔死狐悲之意。伴随着这样的一种尴尬悱恻的情怀,一路看下去,已然是泪湿青衫。乖乖不得了,我也真是老了。
片子很安静,音乐简单而回旋。一个小镇、一个车站、几个人、一条狗,和一段横跨三代的时光。八公没有做任何了不起的事迹,没有救人与火灾,没有与猛兽搏斗,没有兢兢业业的工作,也没有善解人意体贴入微。它甚至不屑于去捡球,在美女狗的挑逗面前也没坐怀不乱。这样平凡的一条狗,仅仅是和主人惺惺相惜,仅仅是狗驯养天性的泛滥而已了。
如果这算爱,只能说是条件反射。在八公的眼中,恐怕不可能出现片尾yy的那段人狗重逢。它的等待,更不可能是出自坚定的浪漫主义信念。我们可以负责任讲科学的.说,它仅仅是惯性使然,在条件反射的等待而已。可你不能在解构了这些之后安心洗洗睡了,凭什么它的故事广为传颂,直到被改变成电影,凭什么是它而不是我的塑像在遥远的某地被人赞叹着呢?
如果你也同样,前半段微笑、后半段含泪看完的这部片子,那么答案就不言而喻。你在人狗和谐相处、互相牵挂的那种氛围中,感受到的久违的温情,就是答案。在那个过去的好时光里,人与人之间不缺乏爱,奶当然更是放心的。影片的讨巧之处在于,人与人情感的部分被一笔带过,展示的都是人狗之间的情愫。在这种最朴素、最无功利性动机的关系中,这种普世的、宏大的情感,打动着更大的人群,撼动着心灵的更深处。
电影本身并没有治愈的功效,它不是药。但它可以作为麻醉品使用,就好比海洛因。如果它能唤醒你对过去的美好回忆,感觉的心灵的悸动,那你就不能否定它的功效。那个人人都熟识的小镇,那个互相关照惦念着的人际关系,那个没有电脑游戏没有互联网冲击的时代,那个没有高楼大厦压抑着的空间,那个乌托邦般的世外桃源……那时的人,不必担心生活的节奏太快,永远有和家人相处的时间;那时的街角、乡党、车站、花坛,不会经常消失或者变了模样,不管人或狗永远都找的着。
那么荧屏前猪头猪脑的你,傻笑着又抹着眼泪的你,被唤醒的不就是这种怀念吗?你在电影中人的生活里感受着自己的贫瘠,在电影中狗的眼睛里感受着自己的孤单。《忠犬八公》的意义,不就是在提醒,你早就缺失了的东西吗?
难怪,李察吉尔自己说,在看了这个电影剧本之后一哭再哭。对于这个经过大起大落、在最繁华的剧场里风光过又消沉过的人来说,还有什么比这故事更能引起他的同感,更勾引他心底对平静生活、相濡以沫的留恋呢?理查老矣,戚戚我心。
如果爱仅仅是狗狗般的条件反射,愿这种条件反射永不退化,永远滋润着我们干渴的心田。
由导演韩赤飞指导的两部小成本电影《童年的收音机》和《八十一枚金币》齐齐入围2013年美国圣地亚哥国际儿童电影节最佳影片奖。关于入围,总不该是因为前者拍了儿童,而后者拍到了国际儿童节吧。显然不是,那凭什么?
从情节上看,导演韩赤飞开篇就给了明确的故事走向:要造收音机,那咱就得配零件;要召唤妈妈,那就得先攒“金币”。清晰的目标导向恰合了孩子们在此年龄段直率、无忌的性格特征。这是身为导演的他捕捉到的,也正是当下观影的“非儿童们”所缺失的。
相较两部影片,我更喜欢前者,小演员们酣畅的表演生动再现了大时代背景下孩子们高度统一的领袖崇拜精神及“集体意识”。这种意识在时代的变迁中逐步瓦解成为今天的“个人主义”。导演巧妙地将孩子们的行为思想搁置到领袖精神盛行的红色经典语境中去,此时,看上去在规范并束缚着中国成人行为的口号和标语,却真真切切地捍卫了中国儿童们的斗志和正义感。影片结尾说的没错,现在的孩子可能永远理解不了那个传播途径有限、物质资料匮乏的年代里“小眼镜”一行人造成收音机的喜悦,就像巷口每日做着手中活计的妇人们,这帮孩子的雀跃,不过是她们眼中发着神经的吵闹。
最近,在2014年北京国际电影节优秀作品展映的首批名单中,我注意到了《八十一枚金币》。赤飞导演凭借实打实的小成本制作再次入围,也引起了众人对该类映射当下现实问题的影片的关注。叙事平实、镜头质朴,导演尽可能地在创作手法上还原了真实故事本身。好电影不是和大制作划等号,而是在于它是否贴近实际、贴近生活、贴近群众。震撼心灵的,往往就是平淡生活中那些个微渺的细节。针对影片完满的结局,赤飞导演的理想主义再次从严酷的现实中破冰抽芽。这个外表粗砺、精于刑侦的北方汉子更多的在孩子们的世界里保留了善与美的品质,透过这些传神的个人,甚至群体,折射出当代成人的心里现状。
以善动人,以美成片,虽不够惊艳,但足够走心。我也期待着,韩导能凭借他始终探讨的关于人性善与美的持有及珍存的课题,更深地走进主流的视野。

看完《忠犬八公的故事》,让我不禁想起歌手张靓颖的一段歌词:“四季风景在我的窗前悬挂/人海涨落在我的心里变化/流转的时光/褪色的过往/岁月有着不动声色的力量……”不论外物如何变化,那只忠诚的秋田犬总是在同一个时间,同一个地点,守望着他的主人。
影片的制作水准算不上高端精良,人物刻画称不上老到精深,情节设置更遑论跌宕起伏。但就是这样一部简单的电影,让无数观众感动落泪。
影片将视角对准了一只名叫“小八”的秋田犬。它被人遗弃在火车站,因为遇到了好心的大学教授帕克而免遭厄运。帕克的妻子一开始并不喜欢“小八”,当她看到帕克趴在草地上,嘴里咬着球,一步一步艰难而又不失耐心的教“小八”如何捡球的时候,她的心被这一幕融化了。
“小八”就像是一个“黏人虫”,怎么赶都赶不走。它和帕克熟识以后,每当帕克要坐火车去学校上课时,它总是尾随在后,在火车站对面的花池上一蹲就是一天。起初,教授帕克还经常驱赶它,让它回家。后来,他发现,“小八”像是着了魔一样,一定要看着帕克从火车站再次走出来才肯罢休。教授也只好作罢,随他去等。火车站里卖热狗的大叔,书报亭的大婶都十分佩服“小八”的忠诚。然而有一天,当帕克在给学生上课时,突发心脏病去世了。亲人们在哀悼完之后,决定送走“小八”。可这只倔强的小狗冲破围栏,又跑到火车站去等帕克,这一等,就等了9年,直到“小八”走到生命的尽头。
在导演细腻的镜头里,我们看到了人与动物间最质朴也最真实的情感。这种情感的极为罕见之处,在于它无需依靠人类语言的沟通传递,而仅靠手势与动作来表情达意。影片中有多次用低机位拍摄“小八”,而且用“小八”的眼睛来看待周遭的世界(镜头里的世界呈现出黑白色调,因为狗的视觉里也是仅有黑白两种色彩。“小八”的喜怒哀乐在这只秋田犬的身上也得到极为淋漓尽致的展现:它生气时的怒目圆睁,哀伤时的眼眉低垂,开心时的欢呼雀跃,尤其与帕克在一起时的亲昵温顺,实在是让观众看得心生怜爱。联想到最近看过的一部由韩国女星林秀晶主演的电影《方糖》,讲述一个少女和一匹马的故事。故事也无甚波澜,然而与《忠犬八公的故事》的场景的相似处却是历历在目。颇难想象,人类与动物相处的融洽有时候居然超越了人与人之间的相处。或许是因为,动物没有人类那么多的防备与私心。你对它好,它会对你更好。所以,当你倾注你的所有热情对待一只小动物时,它会对你百依百顺,做你的忠实朋友。
