张家界是中国第一个国家森林公园，是世界自然遗产，世界地质公园，它集山水为一体。把山石与奇松展现的淋漓尽致，唯妙唯俏。它是大自然的博物馆。
张家界国家森林公园分为五个门票站，五个风景区，总面积264平方公里，分山上山下。主要景区有：
一、金鞭溪（大峡谷，有山有水，空气好）。
二、袁家界阿凡达哈利路亚山摄取地（看石柱）。
三、杨家界乌龙寨天波府（看石墙）。天子山贺龙公园（看石林）。空中田园，神兵聚会，是张家界的绝景，我个人给它的评价是，看了此山，心中无山。此处很多旅游团是不去的。
第一天上午：导游在张家界任何一个地方接站。前往世界自然遗产、世界地质公园、中国第一个国家森林公园。中国首批五A级风景名胜区，踏入美国科幻大片《阿凡达》电影中神秘的潘多拉世界（门票248元已含）。徒步游览“世界上最美丽的'峡谷”---金鞭溪景区:金鞭溪全长7500米。穿行於绝壁奇峰之间，溪水纯净如玉、奇花异草与珍禽异兽同生共荣，构成极为秀丽、清幽、自然的生态环境，被称为“世界最美的峡谷”，“最富有诗意的溪流”；著名景点有大氧吧、母子峰、猪八戒背媳妇、金鞭岩、劈山救母、金鞭岩、醉罗汉、文星岩、长寿泉、双龟恋爱、跳鱼潭、千里相会、紫草潭、水绕四门。
（电梯56元每人单程，索道52元每人单程，可坐电梯或索道，或从千里相会步行上山）
下午：游玩世界自然遗产的核心、全世界唯一的一个特级保护区--袁家界风景区：探寻《阿凡达》中的群山漂浮、星罗棋布的玄幻莫测世界--“哈利路亚山“，即袁家界“南天一柱”（又名乾坤柱），云雾飘绕、峰峦叠嶂，继往气势磅礴的、后花园、拜仙台、我型我秀、小洞天、情人谷、神龟问天、百元大钞、绝无仅有惟我独尊的--天下第一桥等空中绝景。
感受土家族风土人情，品尝土家族风味小炒。天气好早上步行10分钟可以到大观台看日出。（大观台是国家森林公园山顶看日出最好的地方）。
第二天上午：观杨家界乌龙寨，寻觅一下以前土匪的踪迹，乌龙山剿匪记、湘西剿匪记、在凤凰的乌龙寨拍摄的，但是很多外景在此拍摄的，因为地形险阻，“一夫当关、万夫莫开”。听村里老人说在没解放前确实有真的土匪荐在，在乌龙寨山脚下有个老人叫“杨雄夫”今年97岁，以前就在此做土匪。大家可以想象一下杨家界乌龙寨了，杨家界比较著名的景点有：一步登天、金鸡报晓、回音壁、空中走廊、土家山歌台、三道鬼门关、一线天、天波府、藏宝洞、四道城墙等。
下午：观峰林之王，这里是山的王国，云的故乡。这里被称为“扩大的盆景、缩小的仙境”西海石林在武陵源的西边，是张家界景区内石柱最集中的一个地方，所以叫西海石林。这里也是看云海的好地方。天子山风景区有一个贺龙公园，为什么叫贺龙公园呢，在没开发以前，天子山属桑植县管辖，贺龙元帅就是桑植县人，为了纪念他，命名贺龙公园。贺龙公园著名景点有：御笔峰、仙女散花、西海石林、天子观景台、点将台、神堂湾、贺龙铜象、龟王化石、石船出海、武士训马、试心石、天子阁。大观台、一步难行，神鸡啄食，天子座，仙人桥。增加老屋场景区空中田园，神兵聚会！
