《爸爸去哪儿3》的第一集就阐释了这个命题。一上来，4个中国爸爸都坦承平常陪孩子的时间不够。密室考验，中国爸爸多少都有点儿不知所措。
胡军跟康康有过一次很走心的谈话，胡军告诉康康，他并没有偏心姐姐，他也很爱康康，然后承诺：“以后爸爸争取多陪陪你，好不好?”康康：“嗯。”然后他掏出爸爸的手握紧。
康康表达的，不过是很多中国孩子的共同心声，希望得到爸爸更多的陪伴。
一项调查显示，七成以上的中国孩子认为爸爸陪伴他们的时间远远不够，平均每天不超过一小时。爸爸的时间成了孩子们的奢侈品。一个孩子说：爸爸，你现在陪我1天，将来我还你100天，好不好?另一个孩子说：爸爸除了忙就是在家接电话、看电视或者上网，偶尔逗我玩一下，他简直不像我的爸爸，倒像邻居家的叔叔嘛。

所以，成功人士不陪孩子，因为忙。丝也不陪孩子，因为不屑。
潜意识里，他们似乎觉得跟孩子若即若离，还显得挺酷。因为在大部分中国男人看来，为孩子赚钱，比亲自陪孩子，更成功、更高级、更有面子。
男人真的忙到一分钟都没有吗?忙是不在意一个人、一件事的借口，像早教专家小巫说的，没有任何一份工作能把人24小时都赔进去，只有重视与不重视。如果你把孩子当成最重要的会议，再忙都能抽出时间。
当爸爸必须做出价值选择——最重要的是时间上的选择
反观欧美，爸爸要陪小孩，这是社会公认的价值观。在欧美，抱孩子的、牵孩子的，往往是爸爸。看看明星街拍吧，中国男明星几乎没有拍到跟孩子在一起的，而贝克汉姆、布拉德·皮特、汤姆·克鲁斯这类全球顶级帅哥，常常是以标准奶爸的姿态出境。就连奥巴马，都会动不动提到自己的女儿，显得自己是个多好的爸爸，可见在西方，家庭在价值排序中占有多重要的位置。
夏克立就说，他花了很多时间陪夏天。当他决定要小孩的同时，就非常明白，宁愿牺牲工作上的成就，也要给孩子充分的爱。

Earning a living is another common goal. I’ve often seen that in movies about other countries. In some countries, people choose their careers from what they like and are good at. But in every country it seems that people care a great deal about earning a living, and working hard is respected.
Showing people having fun together is always an important part of any movies, no matter what country it comes from. People everywhere want to be entertained, and want to spend time with their families and friends. Different cultures sometimes enjoy different activities, but all cultures enjoy some form of sports, music and dancing.
