Dear all,
I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to my parents for teaching me to be positive and to be strong. “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” is the opinion held by Aristotle. It is the experience of our forefathers, however, it is correct even today, including my parenting.
It is widely acknowledged that parenting, which can also be explained as family education, is of great significance in our character forming and manner acquiring. To be more detailed, setting good examples instead of just giving precepts is the greatest achievement of my parents. They not only taught me to think for the best and prepare for the worst; they taught me how. They not only told me the benefits of being strong in mind; they proved it. All those things require huge amount of time and work, but it’s worth it.
Without my parents’ contribution and education, I would never be who I am now. But most importantly, I would never be more gratitude to them than today.

母亲的爱不仅仅在于这儿，动物中的母亲会为了孩子而牺牲自己。
有一位猎人进深山打猎，见山腰有一只黑熊坐在巨石下，便开枪将其击毙。但熊仍然端坐在那里，没有倒下。猎人恐其有诈，不敢贸然前进，又向熊体射击两枪。猎人走到黑熊跟前，发现这是一头母熊，它仍在用身体挡着欲倒的巨石；再向山下望去，见山下的溪水里有3只幼熊正在玩水。猎人走到这里明白了：母熊是怕突然倒下的巨石滚到山下，砸伤子女们啊!这时，钢铁般的汉子的眼睛湿润了，毅然砸坏，发誓今后不再打猎。
我的母亲也很伟大，我不是夸大其词，这是我的肺腑之言。上小学时，妈妈每天都会骑着她的破自行车送我，不管酷暑还是严寒都一样。妈妈一到夏天就会很黑很黑，而一到冬天开裂的手指那血就直往外冒，那是因为没有洗衣机用手洗时才会这样，而母亲还是用手一件件给我搓洗着衣服。放学了，哪一次饭菜还没好，哪一次我写作业时她尽量不发出一点儿声音，甚至连电视都不开，这是怕影响我的学习啊！
总之，从小到大，母亲是这个家的顶梁柱，我觉得只要有她和老爸就是整个世界。

盼星星，盼月亮，终于把新年给盼来了，家家户户都有了年味儿，镇子也变得极热闹。
为了迎接新的一年，每户人家都忙开了，我们家也不例外，整理屋子，买年货、贴春联、包饺子
别的事儿都轮不上我，包饺子倒是我一大兴趣。为了饺子上桌更有趣儿，我们一家子包起了花式饺子。打开手机，找到个包饺子的视频，我们成功地包出了莲花饺子、月牙儿饺子、元宝饺子、金鱼饺子、柳叶饺子。大伙儿边包边聊，呀！这个莲花真漂亮！你这个金鱼也不错唉！大元宝送给你吃再看看各式各样的`饺子在大盘里开着圆桌大会，仿佛是要与我们赛个热闹。
开饭喽！外公端上了一道道菜肴，金灿灿的黄金饺，香喷喷的牛肉片，必上的放养白斩鸡，还有色香味俱全的糖醋鱼等等，真的是多到数不过来，满满一桌在那儿叠罗汉呢。一缕缕伴随着香味的热气钻进大伙儿鼻子里，我们立马动起筷子，大家边吃边高声赞扬着外婆的厨艺好，外婆开心地把眼睛眯成了一条缝，不住地叫大伙儿趁热吃。我喝着甜甜的椰奶，感觉热闹又自在。
大年初一，舅舅，舅妈，还有许多亲戚到我们家做客，他们带来的大小礼品，摆满了一桌，远远看去一片红彤彤，再加上大家送给我的大红包，别提有多么喜气洋洋了。大人们围着圆桌坐下，边喝茶水边拉起家常，聊起一年的收获。表妹拉着我和姐姐满院子跑，我们不停地笑着，就像放飞的鸟儿，高兴且自由。
我们年初一到初五都在走亲访友，吃得肚子圆滚滚，最开心的是收到了好多红包。
20xx真是个热闹非凡的幸福年，愿牛年吉祥，牛气冲天！
