我的老家在湖北，今年和往年一样，一放假爸爸妈妈就带着我回老家过年了。可是，回家没几天，我们就被关在家里，出不去了。今天，是我们回老家的第45天，也是被隔离的第40天。今天，我还在湖北。
每天都有志愿者叔叔来给我们上门量体温。他们手上戴着红袖章，脸上戴着口罩，一到，就在我家门口大喊一声“排好队，量体温啦！”他们给我们量体温，可是从来不进门。我不知道发生了什么事情，觉得很奇怪。后来爸爸、妈妈又从超市里抢购了好多好多东西。妈妈告诉我，因为新型冠状病毒会传染，我们要在家里待很久很久。我们不是医生，不能帮上什么忙，就好好待在家里，不给国家添乱。
庆幸的是，我被隔离的生活并不孤单。我们家的客厅很大，我可以在家和爸爸打羽毛球。姑姑和妹妹也和我们一起被隔离了，我还可以和妹妹一起画画、玩游戏。
开学以来，我和大家一样，每天在电脑上上课，很充实。可我，还是希望疫情早点过去，我想早点看到老师和同学们。可是，今天，我还在湖北。

天气阴沉，满天是厚厚的、低低的、灰黄色的浊云。巍峨挺秀的秦岭消没在浊雾里;田堰层迭的南源，模糊了;美丽如锦的渭河平原也骤然变得丑陋而苍老。
东北风呜呜地叫着。枯草落叶满天飞扬，黄尘蒙蒙，混沌一片，简直分辨不出何处是天，何处是地了。就是骄傲的大鹰，也不敢在这样的天气里，试试它的翅膀。
风里还夹着潮湿的海洋上的气息，这是大雪的预兆。
风完全止了，空气还是跟先前一样地冷。夜来了，它却没有带来黑暗。上面是灰色的天空，下面是堆着雪的.石板地。一个大天井里铺满了雪。中间是一段垫高的方形石板的过道，过道两旁各放了几盆梅花，枝上积了雪，变成白色，像玉树一样的美丽。
在冬天的日子里，你在高高的雪堆上追逐兔子，呼吸严寒刺骨的空气。柔软的雪的耀目而细碎的闪光，使你的眼睛不由自主地要眯拢来。你欣赏着红澄澄的树林上面的青天，这一切多么可爱啊!

I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to my parents for teaching me to be positive and to be strong. “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” is the opinion held by Aristotle. It is the experience of our forefathers, however, it is correct even today, including my parenting.
It is widely acknowledged that parenting, which can also be explained as family education, is of great significance in our character forming and manner acquiring. To be more detailed, setting good examples instead of just giving precepts is the greatest achievement of my parents.
