作为影片的主人公，连长伍千里的形象更是深入人心，在谈到战争的时候，他意味深长地说：假如我们不打这场仗，就要下一代来打这场仗。那一刻，我真正体会到我们现在和平的来之不易。
不能忘记，抗美援朝战役中，毛岸英烈士为保护重要文件献出生命，杨根思烈士舍身与敌人同归于尽，邱少云烈士宁肯被烧死也坚决不暴露目标，黄继光烈士舍身堵抢眼……不能忘记，冰雕连为了完成任务，在酷寒下，战士们成为了一座座冰雕，却依然手握钢枪，望向远方……
是啊，正是革命烈士，用他们不屈的精神、顽强的意志、宝贵的生命，用一场场胜利，为我们赢来了今日的美好生活。
