卓别林的一生就像他的电影一样跌宕起伏，充满戏剧性。他塑造的那位流浪汉形象给我留下了深刻的印象，他穿着一条鼓囊囊的肥裤子和一双超大的皮鞋，头戴一顶比他头还小的圆礼帽，嘴上长着两撇小小的翘胡子，手里拿着一根短手杖，走路象鸭子一样左摇右晃，这个可爱的小丑形象受到全世界人民的喜爱，可谁又知道这位天真乐观的卓别林早年生活的非常悲苦。卓别林生于英国，很小的时候父母分居，7岁时他被送进孤儿院，受尽了欺凌，后来他离开孤儿院，完全成为一个流浪儿，他当过报童、乞丐、佣人、扫地工。
十多年后，卓别林随哑剧团去美国演出，被美国导演看中，从此开始了电影生涯。他一生共拍了八十多部喜剧片，其中代表作有《淘金记》、《城市之光》、《摩登时代》、《大独x者》等，并得到了奥斯卡终身成就奖。
