纪实类脆皮鸭文学创作主体多为同志人群，写作目的与色情文学初衷类似，或为粗浅记录，或为满足自我表达欲，或为分享。文笔大多朴实，情节较为简单，偏向于纪实。
实用类脆皮鸭文学创作主体多为女性，创作目的仅为抒发感情，因其兼具文学性与情感抒发，故而在审美上较纪实类脆皮鸭文学更具可读性。不过实用类脆皮鸭文学内容庞杂，不易归类，故而在此将实用类脆皮鸭文学进行细分。
性类脆皮鸭文学。单纯以性为核心点，只讲求感受，将某些特点放大，并且以偏离实际为性表达手段，属于性压抑情况下具有某种共性的性表达。
攻击类脆皮鸭文学。表达攻击性，尤其为对男性群体的攻击性，或者是自身受到的攻击性的虚幻体转移。此类脆皮鸭文学实质上并非单纯的性表达，而是攻击性以性的方式进行了表达。在人类的潜意识深处所受到的攻击通过文字这种显意识传递而出，与其说是性的释放，不如说是攻击性的释放。
第三类是满足审美意趣。女性的性压抑受社会文化的熏染而无法得到妥善的表达，致使女性只能通过脆皮鸭文学表达自身对于性的幻想，加之文学这一幻想乡的包容性，女性意识在脆皮鸭文学中得到觉醒。正如人类对于美的追求，第三类脆皮鸭文学致力于发掘性之中包含的美，以及通过美实现对美好感情的追求。
不过值得注意的是，性的'表达与审美意趣往往具有重合的部分，这也就是某种意义上为何标签化会更受欢迎的原因。性是生理的本能，如果要抛开性谈文学，文学将失去一半的魅力。只有在性满足之后，才会生发出对于性在审美上的追求。
现在对于脆皮鸭文学的兴盛总体上应当保持乐观态度，性意识是人类在自我意识觉醒过程中十分重要的意识，然而在性知识的传播过程中，应当注意成年与未成年的区分，以及错误知识与正确知识的区分。未成年人可以有性教育，却不可以有大尺度色情文学破坏其价值观形成。错误知识可以刺激性的产生，却不能忽略正确知识的引导。
