考古学家发现，早在近万年前，人类就开始驯化并饲养猪了。野猪身上披着硬毛，长得青面獠牙，性格十分凶猛。它跑得快，发起怒来真是无所顾忌，连兽中之王老虎也要怕它三分。而被驯化的家猪，一改野猪的恶性，在长相、性格上都发生了改变，还逐渐形成了发育快、繁殖力强的特点，因此成为经济价值最高的家畜。一猪多用，造福人类。猪不仅能供食用，还是制革制药的原料，就连粪便也是上好的农肥，得到了“浑身是宝”的赞誉。
