又随二小儿到游乐场，见有老有小，众童活蹦乱跳，老者静观其变，或呼或默，或怒或笑，岂不妙绝？场旁柳枝低垂绿草如垫，有三五顽皮者追逐打闹捉虫逐鸟。望于此，不禁吟出“清风伴日老叟醉，只因孩童胜春晖”的句子。
至湖边，见对岸村庄树木依稀可见，公路上车如甲虫行人如芥，唯普彤塔巍然高耸上接云霞下植水间，蔚为壮观。栏杆旁垂钓者，频频下竿有之，久坐以静制动者有之，其神色，或喜或蹙或坐或立自得其乐，不免令人艳羡。又见遮阳伞下，俊男靓女或依或偎或静或闹，偶有行人经过不免躲躲闪闪脸红害羞有所收敛，余观之，不禁默笑。
此刻看表，已十九时已，看夕阳西落水面，如火珠戏水，霞光万丈映娇儿脸颊，二子皆无思归之意，以冰糕诱之，方上车同归。
路上，友人曰：五一假，何须累死累活远游，南宫湖，省时省力又经济实惠，足矣！吾颔首之。
