文章当中有一些关键句段能够展示文章的主旨，这些关键句段可从如下方面来分析。
A文章的.开头/结尾句或者段。很多文章的开头和结尾的句子或者段落都起到提示文章主旨的作用，文章开篇常常点题，一些开头会用到一些警示性的语言，对我们深入理解文章中心有启示性作用。而许多结尾则是对前文的总结，并且某些结尾本身就直接点明了文章中心，在阅读中重点抓住这些东西，对把握文章中心很有帮助。
B文章中的议论性或抒情性的句子。一般情况下，记叙文的议论句以及抒情句都有画龙点睛的效果，作者常常会在这些句子当中直接表达自己的看法，或阐述道理，或抒发情感。我们要善于抓住这些句子。【抒情句标志参考：强烈的感叹或反问等语气/出现直接抒发某种情感（悲伤，喜悦，流泪等）词语）；等等。议论性句子参考标志：对某事或某人做出评价的句子】
C文章中反复出现的词语或者句子。一些文章为了强调某种想法或道理或情感，往往使某个句子在文章中反复出现好几次。这个句子通常情况下就是文章的中心句，对理解文章主旨有极大帮助。
D文章中主要人物的语言。以写人记事为主的记叙文，主要在描写人物形象，而人物的语言是人物内心世界的主要标志，作者很可能把中心思想放在人物的语言中表达。因此要注意在分析人物语言中概括文章中心思想。尤其是人物对话中涉及到某种情感或者某种感悟的句子。
