我先学着画猫，猫练熟之后，我就开始画起“大家伙”---老虎啦。老师说：“想画好老虎可不是一件容易的事，特别是它的五官，要画的传神就需要仔细观察。”我开始练习画老虎，起先怎么画都画不好，自己看着都觉得别扭，慢慢地我找到窍门了，老虎的皮毛，躯体，脚和尾巴都过关了，可是老虎的神态，五官怎么画都觉得差强人意，老师说得对，想画好老虎的面部五官特别难，无数的稿纸被我一气之下抛进了垃圾篓子，正当我愁眉不展时，老师又来给我指点迷津了，他说：“老虎的眼和鼻子就像一个倒三角形，上面的两个角画眼睛，底下的画鼻子，掌握好分寸，问题就解决了。”我照老师的方法去试了，一遍，不行，两遍，还不行，……哼哼！我就不服气，一遍一遍地画，我先拿铅笔练习，铅笔的练熟了，就拿毛笔来练。就这样，每天坚持练习两个小时，通过一段时间的练习，我画老虎熟练多了，我尝试着在一张纸上画上了五只姿态不一的老虎，爸爸看过后满意地对我说：“真不错，能不能画张群虎图，让我也开开眼？”爸爸鼓励的话语激发了我的创作激情：挑战一下自己吧，画一张群虎图给他瞧瞧？
我有一本画册，画册上有一幅图像给我留下了深刻的印象：这幅图出自一位大师之手，图上画着二十六只姿态各异的老虎，它们虎虎生风，惟妙惟肖，我想仿照这幅“群英会”画一幅“猛虎下山”。说干就干，我花了整整两个月的课余时间潜心创作了一幅“猛虎下山图”，这幅图被老师拿去参加第四届全国国画大赛，我竟然拿了全国特等奖，心里那个美啊，真是兴奋得几天都睡不好觉了。
哈哈，我终于战胜了“老虎”，我发现只要有目标，并且坚持不懈地去努力，准会有成功的一天。
